Slowly opening my eyes, I blinked a few times to figure out the blurry vision ahead of me. I blinked again to take a clear vision. My eyes adjusted to the surroundings that I did not recognize.I breathed in a stale, silent air. I was in a dimly lit room and it smells thick and scent of timber. I was lying on a huge expensive golden mattress.
The room is larger than the apartment I owned. There's an ancient Chinese silk dragon painting remained on the wall.
Where am I and whose room is this?
I remembered being alone and destitute ever since my parents left me. I remembered people call me a cursed child because my mother died giving birth to me and my father died when I was just six. I remembered my school days without friends and fun.
I remembered working in the nearby cafe in order to bear my expenses.
I remembered walking out of the cafe at late. It was my eighteenth birthday, as usual the day went by without warm wishes and cake. I remembered running away from the debtors.
I remembered spotting a golden light coming from afar and the moment it stopped near me, everything went black.
How come i ended up in such an expensive room?
I searched around the room. Nothing seemed familiar to me. The room was luxurious and old. There's a pillar on both sides of the bed.The huge red ancient roman couch at the center of the room gave even more of an impression of luxury. The designed curtains were veiled the huge windows. I didn't even know if it's the daytime or night.
I pulled out the fluffy golden blanket from my body as I sat up. There's an immense pain in my legs. It must be because of the speedy running. I had run for an hour, away from the debtors catching me.
"You are up, finally" I startled at the sharp voice on my left.
