"We, vampires came into existence when darkness corrupted the world,"

"Darkness?" I shot him a curious glance.

"The evil spirits lead the path of darkness. Vampires, werewolves, demons, witches and warlocks are the creatures of darkness. We possess extreme powers. We are stronger, faster and capable of using magic and can live longer than human," He said.

I sat quietly beside him taking it all in.

"So, How old are you?"

"21 years old,"

What?

"I thought you were hundred years old,"

"No," He grinned as if I'd made a joke.

"I can live that long though."

I just stared at him, almost unable to believe it.

I wished this was a bad dream and it would just end.

"Vampires in the Vampire clan find out their mate when they reach 18 years old," He continued.

"How?"

"Every single vampires have a birthmark on their body in different shapes. When they turn 18, it will naturally glow and they are able to find their mate,"

"Wait, I don't have any birth mark on my body,"

"Neither do I. You are being my mate is unusual," He shut his eyes briefly and sighed.

"Unusual?"

"Vampires mate with vampires. That's the mating rule for the clan,"

Then how did thing turn out this way?

Ugh! this is all so confusing.

"How do you know that I'm your mate? I'm not your kind,"

"You being here. Humans cannot enter into this world. You are the first one ever entered into this clan,"

"That's so silly, you know" I nearly rolled my eyes.

I really can't imagine how that could be true.

"Not only that. We could trace our mate by their scent. Your scent claims that you are my mate," He leaned forward and stared into my eyes. His eyes had a glint of sadness in it.

"What's so significant being a mate?" I was getting curious of all these foreign things which were happening in my life.

"Mate carries a part of your life,"

"Like how?"

"You get weak when your mate gets hurt. It's more like you both hoist the same pain and happiness,"

A blush crept up my face at his words. I lowered my face before he could notice it.

"So Is it true that I can never go back to the human world?" I asked with a little hope that I could go back to the human world and be normal again.

I didn't want all of this.

Maybe I'm crazy and am just dreaming the whole things up.

"Sadly Yes. Actually you were dead,"

I gulped.

"What? No way in the hell I'm dead," I nearly laughed, but stopped when I noticed how serious he looked.

He's insane!

This guy must have got some sort of mental problem. I couldn't believe I was still here listening to his buggy blabber.

"I feel alive. See, I can feel my heart beats,"

I put my hand over my chest feeling the crazy heart beats I was having due to his closeness, showing him that I'm still alive.

He actually laughed, the sound was musical... so beautiful, I feel like wanted to hear it again.

Dang!
