Him

There stood the same man I met back there in the woods. He looked different with that black suit. His dark hair combed back neatly and his broad chest blocked my view.

"You okay," He asked, releasing me. I straightened myself, ignoring the pain in my ankle caused by the high heels.

"Yeah," I cleared my throat and stared at his grey eyes. He studied me in return.

He looked at me with those piercing grey eyes of his, causing my heart sank into the pit of my empty stomach.

He's a vampire and yet his presence has a calming influence as if he's just a normal guy.

He's plainly handsome and his body was wiry and athletic.

I watched him as he scanned my body. I grew uncomfortable under his unreadable gaze.

Worry flooded in his eyes as his gaze stopped on my bleeding ankle.

"You are hurt," He murmured and knelt down, examining my bleeding ankle.

I suddenly felt alarmed considering vampire's thirst for blood.

Though a part of me was well apprehensive that he would never do anything to hurt me.

"Ah, It's a tiny bruise," I tried to hide my feet under my lengthy gown.

I would never show my weak side to an Immortal_vampire.

He ignored me and held my feet in his hand and put his other hand over the wound.

I flinched at his sudden touch.

Shortly after, he removed his hand and released my feet.

My mouth dropped open when I realized the pain was gone along with the wound. I stood there stunned and my gut churning.

"How did you do that?" I finally managed to ask despite the utter shock.

My stomach dropped out and my heart beating so fast I could barely breathe.

I hate immortals. They are bad for health.

He smiled, a cute dimple formed on his left cheek.

Satisfied, he stood up.

"Power," He replied. He seemed amused at that.

"Earlier, It was you who healed my wounds, wasn't it?" I asked, looking directly into his eyes.

He nodded.

No way.

"Didn't mean to surprise you back there, I'm sorry," His words were genuine, and he bowed his head apologetically.

I opened my mouth to ask further when my stomach grumbled loudly enough to hear the man before me.

Jeez, this is so damn embarrassing.

He gave a little chuckle at my sheepish state.

My face gone bright red.

I bit my bottom lip and met his eyes.

Damn you, you've no idea how embarrassed I was.

"Please excuse my stomach rumbling, I hadn't eaten all day," I said, relaxed.

His tall, lean body moved closer. Even with heels I just reach his chin.

"Come with me," He grabbed my hand and squeezed pulling me along with him.
