Jacob's pov
Why did this always happen? Why do we always argue over things like this? Have I not changed over the months? Does she still think I'm that fuckboy that is rude to everyone? I don't get it. I've changed. I did it all for her and she just throws me away so easily. Is she tired of me hanging around her? Am I that annoying to her?Whatever, she said she doesn't want us hanging out so that's what I'll do. I'll get a girlfriend and just be with her, it'll make me forget about suraiya and then make me lose my feelings for her. It was a joke anyways. To hope that someday maybe we'd be together. Me, a non religious playboy ending up with someone like her? Someone who's dedicated to her religion through thick and thin, is elegant and beautiful in everything she does. She was way too good to be true. I couldn't be with her. We're just too different. She's beyond perfect. We're from two different worlds. It'll never work out.
After she said all those things she looked sad and sorry but she wouldn't say it. She wouldn't say that she didn't mean it and instead chose to keep quiet. And you know even when she said those things, I couldn't even be mad at her, I couldn't despise her even a little bit. Because I love her. But she doesn't know and will never find out.
I laid in my bed quietly but my thoughts running loud. My phone kept buzzing and zacks name popped up on the screen, I answered the phone to him yelling with music and chatter in the background "yo, Jake, Olivia Collins is having a party right now at her cabin, I know you said that you're changing and you're trynna cut lose on the whole alcohol and shit but man it's litt you gotta join! The party doesn't really start until you get here."
"Um okay yeah I'll be there, give me 10 minutes." I replied back, screw changing, she wants me to get a girlfriend and forget we even knew each other. There's no point in changing. Might as well find someone from my world the way I usually am. I changed into black ripped jeans and a black graphic t shirt before leaving the cabin. Suraiya was in her room probably sleeping and no one else was here. She didn't like the party atmosphere so there was no point in her coming.
I finally got to Olivia's cabin to find blaring music, but the teachers didn't exactly give a shit. I went inside and was hit by the smell of weed, cigarettes, sweat, and alcohol. It was hot and stuffy and so I decided to loosen up a bit, I went to pour myself a drink when a couple of the guys from football came up to me, I hadn't seen them for a bit and they were all rowdy and loud about us seeing each other. Once again they left off to do something stupid and I left to the indoor pool. It was pretty reserved and there was only one person here. It was a girl. She was swimming in her underwear without a care in the world. That is until she saw me, she furrowed her eyebrows and said "you creep! How long have you been standing there? Couldn't you say something? Jeez, give a girl a warning."
"Calm down, I'm definitely not a creep, I just got here and I as I was going to say something, you already had realized I was here. I'm not a creep though, I wanted to swim, I didn't know only you'd be here. Don't you know who I am?" I said in disbelief, this girl doesn't know who I am and on top of that thinks I'm a creep?! That's a first.
"I don't know who you are. Sorry am I supposed to?" She said sarcastically. I laughed and shook my head "I'm Jacob Williams, mostly everyone knows me. I'm the good looking one ya know?" I said joking around. "Ah so you're the infamous Jacob Williams everyone's been telling me about. I'm new around here, I got here a month ago." She said coming out of the water and wrapping herself with a towel nearby. She was really pretty. She had crystal blue coloured eyes, dark brown hair, somewhat tan skin, and she was slim but toned. She must be a swimmer, she was swimming pretty fast a couple minutes ago.
"Oh, so what school do you go to?" I asked her sitting by the ledge of the pool alongside her.
"Laguna creekside. I'm a senior." She spoke softly, she was really pretty and for once I could actually feel somewhat comfortable around a girl that wasn't suraiya. Because neither suraiya or this girl threw themselves at me.
