Suraiya's pov
I woke up feeling drained and tired. Probably from crying all night. I headed to the washroom to wash up and saw that my eyes were puffy and had redness around them. I looked like a very sleep deprived person and like someone who just died and came back to life looking like a zombie. I washed my face, showered and then headed into my room to get all my luggage near my door. I then did my bed and laid on it one last time. I looked at my phone to see lots of messages from friends and people I knew saying goodbye, I replied back to them and then went on Snapchat to see people's stories of me leaving and once again said goodbye to them. Clarissa then sent me an article from a Paris magazine and one from a newspaper here in California, they both read that I, suraiya Karim was officially signed under the popular 'ELITES' agency. I threw my phone back on my bed and decided to do my makeup because like I said I had really puffy eyes and redness. I took a cold spoon and put it on my eyes to reduce the puffiness and then added makeup. I was told by Clarissa that I should dress formally but still chic as I had lots of interviews to do once arriving so, I decided to wear a long plaid trench coat with matching wide leg plaid pants a black long sleeve as well as a black hijab and a beret(picture above similar to what she's wearing). Amir came in my room as I was looking over my room to see if I missed anything and he smiled softly. "My baby sisters leaving huh?" He asked and I smiled "don't miss me too much bubs." He rolled his eyes and came to give me a hug "I'll miss you alright, make sure you call me when you're there. Don't act all cocky now that you're a soon to be worldwide famous skater." I laughed and agreed. He kissed me on my forehead and helped me grab my luggage down the stairs. I saw my parents making breakfast and I smiled. Sana and Deen were also there setting up the table. They all smiled and told Amir and I to come help with the food, I smiled and helped out. I'm glad that they're like this, that they're treating this like every other day. If they made me sit down and wait for food or baby me because it's my last day with them for a long time then they wouldn't be my family.
I helped bring the food to the table as Sana and Deen were arguing about who was smarter and I kinda had my cards on Deen, but Sana doesn't need to know that. We then all sat down as I picked up Deen, kissed him on the cheek and put him in his baby seat. We all said "bismallah" and started to eat. My mom like usual told us about a case she had and my dad told us his stories as well about his work and we went in a circle. My dad told us about how one of these kids who suffered from a bad condition has gotten better and Amir talked about football, sana about how she got a job at the shoe store in the mall and Deen about how he was called a smart mouth by a kid older than him. It was my turn and I didn't exactly know what to tell them since they knew everything. "I told jacob yesterday after the party that I'm leaving to Paris." They all looked at me with sad faces and sympathy, "it'll be okay habibti." My mom said and I smiled lightly at her. "He hates me now mama." Amir now spoke up and said "he doesn't hate you, he loves you too much for that."
"He shouldn't like me, cause nothing good comes out of it." I said taking a small bite out of the strawberry.
"He'll get over you raiya, you've gotta come to terms with that, that you guys aren't gonna be suraiya and Jacob. You'll be strangers. That's how life works. People come into your life and some leave and some you have to cut off. Time will do that, it won't exactly make you forget but it'll hurt less." Deen then said as he drank from his orange juice. We weren't as surprised that such words came out of his mouth. The kids got an incredible iq of 165, so he somehow understands being wise. Even though that's usually created and learned from experience.
I smiled at him and kissed his forehead "thanks deeny."
It was now 9 and I had to be at the airport for my flight at noon. We all helped cleaning up and I texted my friends that I was heading to the airport now and that my flight was at noon. They all said they were coming and I replied with a smiley face emoji with lots of hearts.
