Suraiya's pov

My legs ached from yesterday's practice, I wanted to sleep in some more but I knew that wasn't possible.

Amir told me yesterday that Jacob cancelled his party yesterday for some reason and decided to have it today. Not that I care but it's unusual for him to do that according to Amir.

I woke up earlier because I wanted Amir to drive me, I didn't want to longboard as like I said my feet ached.
I wore a baby pink knit colour sweater with light blue sort of mom jeans. With a black hijab and black furry slippers.

We arrived at school with 15 minutes till the bell rings and I decided to go to the cafe nearby with Sarah. It was a pretty popular cafe but to be honest I wasn't surprised. It was a very calming cafe filled with colours of beiges and warm browns as well as pretty, light greens.

There were small kind of looking beige tables to sit at and overall it was a very peaceful atmosphere. And it smelt of yummy scents like chocolate, vanilla and coffee.

Then a guy with blonde hair, icy blue eyes and a dimple on his right cheek came over towards our table. While someone with a pretty voice sang acoustic on the radio.

"Hi ladies, how may I help you today." He spoke eloquently while smiling, as he looked like he's been doing his job for years, he wore normal barista attire with a black turtleneck underneath his white dress shirt that was a bit unbuttoned with black slacks and a black apron around his slim waist. His white dress shirt sleeves were rolled up till a bit before his elbow. Where his arm veins were showing.

"I'll have a mocha latte." I said and Sarah said she wanted a vanilla latte.

"Alright, I'll be back with your orders." He said smiling brightly.

Once he left Sarah whispered loudly and excitedly "he likes you!"

I raised my eyebrows at her "what do you mean, he does not." I replied back.

"He does too!" She said a bit loudly.

"What makes you think that?" I asked confused. "He gave you looks and smiled so brightly so you."

I then corrected her "he smiled at both of us and didn't give me any looks."

She just face palmed and said "you are so oblivious it's annoying sometimes. But that's why I'm here!"

I rolled my eyes at her as we both started laughing. The boy came back to our table and placed our order and he turned to look at me before saying "Are you suraiya?"

I was a little shocked at first because he knew my name but I stayed composed nonetheless "yes, who are you? And how do you know my name?"

He chuckled "I'm Brian Jones, I often watch people figure skate and I have watched you skate a ton of times. I used to skate till I got a bad injury and I couldn't skate anymore. Someone had seen you skate and they told me that you're skating is mesmerizing and so I had to see for myself, it was nothing short of mesmerizing, your skating is absolutely gorgeous. Are you planning on skating professionally?"
