I sighed, picking my iPod and cup of coffe up from the table in Starbucks, sliding out of the seat, and stepping through the restuarant and out of the door. Looking around, I placed my earbuds into my ears, and began humming along to myself as I made a sharp right, walking down the alleyway back toward my house.

Turning my music down a bit so I could listen to my surroundings, I began swaying around, dancing a little bit, and singing softly to the current track on my iPod, not really caring if anyone saw me at the moment.

Although, whenever I heard a chorus of loud whispering, I stopped almost immediately, stopping the song on my iPod and shoving the device down in my pocket, popping my earbuds out in the process.

"Who's there?" I called out nervously, running a thumb up and down the foam of my coffee cup in my nervousness.

"You go talk to her Liam!" A loud voice yelled.

"No Louis, I don't want to scare the poor girl," Another voice whispered harshly.

"Harry why don't you do it? Your the ladies man!" This time an Irish accent. What the hell?

Turning on my heel, I spotted four bushes of dark hair sticking up from under a trashcan, along with one bush of blonde hair. What the?

Slowly, I crept over to them, perching on my toes and peeking over the top of the large plastic bins to see none other than One Direction.

"Uhm, hi there," Liam said grinning sheepishly as he pushed himself to his feet. Cautiously he held out his hand for me to shake. Eyeing him skeptically, I took it, shaking it firmly before dropping my hand to my side.

"You guys need some help?" I asked in a quite voice, tilting my head.

"Yeah, uhm, could you tell us the way to the nearest Starbucks?" Louis asked suddenly, coming to his feet to stand beside Liam.

I giggled lightly, pointing back in the direciton I had just come. "Its back there. I just went. About to close so you guys better hurry along."

Before those words where even out of my mouth the other four had rushed off down the alley, leaving Liam standing awkwardly behind the bin.

"You want to come with us?" He asked, looking nervously in the direction of his friends retreating figures.

"Nah, I just went. I need to get back to my flat," I said, looking down toward the ground to ignore the blush that was on my cheeks. Liam Payne had basically just asked me on a somewhat of a date. Kind of.

"I'll walk you back then," He grinned, offering his arm.

"Y-you don't have to do that!" I squeaked, nervously eyeing his outstretched arm.

"But I want to. Wouldn't want a beautiful girl like you getting kidnapped," He said, smiling slightly and wagging his arm. "Now come on."

It had been a month since I met Liam in the alleyway behind my apartment. Currently, the other four boys had left to go back to their own apartments, leaving me and Liam still on the couch, the TV flickering on mute in front of us.

"Hey Marissa, can I ask you a question?" Liam said suddenly, filling the awkward silence as he turned toward me, his gaze serious.

"Mhm, anything," I said, taking a small sip of my tea, setting it gently back down on the coffee table in front of the couch, crossing my legs and turning toward him.

Letting out a nervous sigh, he reached over and took my hands, eyeing me seriously. "So it's been a month since I met you. We've been out on a few dates...and...basically what I'm trying to say is, will you be my girlfriend?"

A shocked O crossed my face, before I titled my head, my eyes sparkling. "Yes, of course I will!"

"Good," He grinned, before leaning in and placing his lips softly over mine.
