Juliet and Liam

"Liam, where the hell are we going? And why are we going some place at eight o'clock in the morning?" I whined, rubbing my eyes furiously as I supressed a yawn, leaning my cheek on my fists, my eyes slowly closing tiredly.

"Because, this place is important, and don't fall asleep! Stay awakkee!" Liam cooed, reaching over and brushing his cold fingers tips over my cheeks, sending a chill up my spine.

"Okay okay, fine. But I'm still tired," I grumbled, pushing myself to a droopy sitting position, my face reading annoyance as I looked straight ahead out the window.

"We're almost there," Liam encouraged, grinning at me from the corner of his eye, carefully driving down the roads. "Actually, I lied, we are there."

I glanced out the window, noticing we had parked near a small diner in town. "You brought me to get COFFEE? We could have made coffee at home!" I whined, shooting Liam a pouty look. If you couldn't tell, I wasn't much of a morning person at the time, and I really just wanted to fall asleep right then and there.

"You mean to tell me you don't remember this specific diner? Juliet, I'm hurt," Liam teased, poking my side as he flung open his door, stepping out and rushing around to open up the door for me.

"No?" I said, confused as I took his hand and stepped out into the chilly winter morning, pulling my scarf tighter around my neck, making my blonde hair stick to my face.

"Does first meeting place ring a bell?" Liam grinned, wrapping his arm protectively around my waist as he steered me inside.

I reached back, tigthening the messy bun I had thrown my blonde hair in, before putting on a bright happy smile as I stepped from the kitchen, carrying my tray of coffee and foods toward the first table on my list.

"Hi there!" I grinned at the table of awaiting people, distributing the coffee's throughout the grey and black speckeled countertop. "You're foods will be out in a couple of minutes, okay?" Watching their poliet nods, I skipped away from that table, heading for the next one on my list. I pursed my lips as I noticed the only table I had left on my list was in the back corner, where there were only about three tables centered in a circle pattern. Hardly anyone ever requested to sit back there, as it was lonely from the rest of the hustle and bustle of the diner.

Gulping, I re-established my smile, striding down a tiny hallway toward the back room, focusing on the table number that the ticket read. And I swear, I almost dropped my tray when my eyes fell upon who was sitting there.

Liam. Freaking. Payne.

My mouth dropped only momentarily from its smile, before I recomposed it slightly, the corners still shaking nervously as I approached the table with great care, trying not to drop anything that was left on the black plastic I was carrying.

"H-hi-hi there," I gulped, grabbing a nearby stand, and kicking it out, settling the tray safely down on it so I definently didn't need to worry about dropping anything.

"Hello there, love," Liam smiled brightly, letting his phone fall to the table as he gazed at me, his warm brown eyes twinkling.

"Hi," I said again, smiling sheepishly like the weirdo I was. Slowly I began sliding his food and coffee onto the table, one after another. "Uhm, lots of food there for one person," I said, getting braver as I folded the holder under my arms along with the tray.

"Actually, I'm just drinking this. Niall went to the bathroom a couple of seconds ago," Liam chuckled, jerking his thumb in the general direction of where I had come.

"LIAM! Is the food here yet-woah. Found a girl too?" Niall's Irish accent floated through the hallway, as he finally came into view, seating himself beside Liam on the raised table.

"Haha, yes, I did Niall," Liam grumbled, fidgeting with his fingers as if he wanted to slap the blonde boy on the back of the head. "Her names, uhm. Love, what is your name?" He seemed embarassed, judging by the pink tint to his cheeks.

"Juliet," I answered with a nervous laugh.

"Juliet," Liam nodded, grinning slightly at me, before turning to Niall. "Her name is Juliet, and you are right, she is very beautiful, if that's what you were implying."

"I wasn't really, but way to go Liam!" Niall cheered, pumping his fist. "Anyway, Juliet, why don't you stay and talk to us?"

"Well, my shift does end in five minutes.." I trailed off, looking away slightly to hide my smile.

"Stay then!" Liam cried a bit too eagerly, grinning sheepishly. "I mean, that is if you want too."

"Alright," I giggled, sliding the things in my hands onto one of the tables. "Maybe I will."

~

"Yeah, the very place where I met the best thing in my life," Liam whispered in my ear once we were seated back in the room where we had met. "So I figured I'd bring you here, to celebrate our two year anniversery."

"It's our two year?" I said, looking at him with a shocked and shameful expression. "Oh god Liam, I'm sorry, I forgot."

"It's okay babe, I still love you," He grinned, pecking my lips. "Now come on, let's sit here and 'talk' as Niall calls it."

"Alright then," I grinned, picking up my drink and drinking the last bits.

"Would you like more?" The waitor asked, appearing by my seat almost immediately.

"Yes please, I think we are going to be here a while," I said, smiling at Liam, who simply pecked my lips again.
