It's Friday night, no work and time to hang with friends.  Okay so I only have like two friends, but at least I have any.  My friends and I are close.  We tell each other everything and anything.  Tonight we are hanging around at my small apartment having some beers and making fun of the local sluts.

"Alex!  Pass me a beer!"  Sabrina's high pitched voice called out.  She had long brown, straight hair and big brown eyes with eye lashes that were so dark she didn't have to put mascara on.  I throw her a bud-wiser.  "You know Alex.  You've been single for like a year.  I don't know how you can do it."  Elena spoke up.  She was the more quiet one in the group.  She had shoulder length red hair and hazel eyes.

"Well..."  I pause for a second thinking of what to say.  "I guess I haven't met the right guy."  I shrug and take a drink of my beer.  I roll around on my bed.  I was in my Mickey Mouse fuzzy green pajama shorts and a black tank top that says Surf Naked.

"You weirdo calm down!"  Sabrina threw a pillow at my head.  I then fell of the bed making a rather big noise when I hit the ground.  My neighbors downstairs hate me.  To jumping around with my friends to the sound of my amplifier I do make a lot of noise.

"Guys!! I'm really bored."  Elena shoots me one of her puppy dig faces.

"What do you want?"  I knew she wanted to do something.  I can just sense it.

"I want to play Truth or Dare."  She smiled and crossed her arms.  I rolled my eyes.  They always pick on me when we play this game.  Last time they made me kiss a hobo.  Not fun.  I swear a bug from his beard went in my mouth.  I flinch at the memory.  But I'm not the kind of girl who backs down from a challenge.  "Okay fine."

"Elena you go first!  Truth or dare?"  I call out before they can ask me something.

"Truth!"  Darn.  I was hoping for a dare.

"Is it true that you stole my Lord Of The Rings movies?"  I didn't know what else to say because we already tell each other everything and my LOTR movies have gone missing.

"Alright fine!  You got me!  I took them."  I fist pumped the air in victory.  Oh no.. now Elena is going to pick on me.  I've got guts so I'll pick dare.

"Alex! Truth o-"

"Dare!"  I yell out.  "Lets get this over with."  Elena smirked.  She got up and walked around thinking very hard.  She stopped and looked at me for a second and then let out a huge smile.

"I dare you, Alexandra Maria Woods to go up to that guy across the hallway and ask him out!"

"What?!  Mr. I Never Come Out Of My Apartment?"

"Yes him!  Go do it right now!"  Elena started pushing me to the door and Sabrina joined in to.

"Alright alright!  I'll go!"  I opened the door and walked about 7 feet to room number 218.  I felt like an idiot asking a guy out in my pajamas.  I straighten out my shirt and try to fix my messed up hair.  I put it up in a messy bun.  I hesitate to knock on the door, but finally I did.

I stood their waiting for about one minute.  Then I knocked again.  I could hear someone moving in the apartment.  The door opened.  I looked at this man.  He had shoulder length black hair that looked like it needed a wash and he was wearing black pajama pants with a plain white t shirt and a black jacket.

"Can I help you?"

"Uhh... Yeah I live across the street.. uh I mean hallway."  He nodded his head and I kept on talking. "I was thinking if you and I could go a coffee shop sometime?"  Fuck.  Really Alex?  I did a mental face palm.  I probably sounded like an idiot.

"I mean you don't have to... if you don't like coffee... or shops..." He let out a small laugh.

"Well I do like coffee and shops.  So yes I would like to."   He smiled.

"Oh- okay. Alright.  See you around.. Uhh?"

"It's Gerard.  Gerard Way."

"Well it was nice meeting you finally.  I'm Alex Woods."  I hold out my hand for him to shake it.  He did.  I smile at him and wave good-bye and walk back to my room.  I could see Sabrina and Elena smiling like idiots.

"Should I have shaken his hand?  Was that weird?"

"Honey!  That was fine!  But I thought I was going to die of laughter when you said 'you don't have to go if you don't like coffee.... or shops!" Sabrina belted out with laughter.

"Thanks guys... Your the best...."
