Emma's POV

I killed someone.

I couldn't process what was happening.

The floor seemed to sway under my feet as I collapsed on the floor. I killed my own ex-best friend with an ax.

A fucking ax.

I started crying and I couldn't stop, this was beyond horrible, I didn't know what to think or feel. Just then, I heard a metal door move as I whipped my head up to see who was coming in but no one was there.

"Time to start moving again," Charlotte said as I punched the floor. "I fucking hate you so much," I yelled as I heard laughter. I got up and walked out of the open door, making sure I didn't turn back and look at the bloody body.

My heart ached, it hurt physically that I did something so terrible to someone. This whole thing was so fucked up, I didn't know what to do, I just wanted to get Becky and get the hell out of here.

Away from Charlotte.

As I exited the room, suddenly I realized this was the room Becky was in. I ran to her. At least tried to, Ella had failed to stab me properly but it still hurt.

To my surprise, there wasn't any blood on Becky. Then I looked on her arm and saw it. Charlotte burned her, just to get her to scream and scare the shit out of me. It didn't look too extreme, it couldn't be a third- degree burn but there were 2 small blisters, it was really red and look hella painful. Probably like a second-degree burn.

"Becky, Becky wake up," I said, trying to shake her awake. Just then Becky's eyes fluttered open. "E-Emma?" She croaked out. Becky burst into tears as I pulled her into a hug, crying as well.

"I'm so sorry, this is all my fault," I sobbed as Becky cried. "It isn't, its fucking Charlotte's fault," Becky said. I quickly helped her up. "We need to get you to a hospital right now," I muttered as she nodded.

"If you go to the hospital, someone else is going to be sitting on that chair next time Emma," Charlotte said through the microphone as I let out a shaky breath. Just then, another door burst open, Becky and I didn't waste any time and rushed out. As soon as we were out, the metal door slammed shut behind us.

I looked around, we were in the middle of a forest. "Okay, we can try to find out a way out of the forest then we can call someone to come pick us up," I said as Becky nodded. Becky then hugged me once again, I hugged her back. "I missed you and I was so worried about you, everyone was, especially Brendon and your dad," She sobbed as I sighed. "I missed you so much, when Charlotte showed me that you were here, I was really fucking scared about what she might have done to you," I said as Becky cried harder.

"But hey, we're okay now," I said, rubbing her back as she nodded. "I'm so glad we are both okay," Becky said as I sighed. We pulled away and started walking, trying to figure out which direction would lead us out of here.

We started walking and soon enough, we saw a highway through the trees. "By the way, are you hurt anywhere? Where did the blood come from?" Becky asked. I looked down at my shirt, it was somewhat obvious blood was splattered all over me. "I- no, I'm okay, just have a small injury on my thigh but the rest of the blood on my shirt was just Charlotte scaring me, it isn't real," I lied as Becky nodded slowly. "Oh okay, I guess," She muttered as we finally got onto the road.

"Wait, can I have your jacket?" I asked, right before I stepped out. I pulled my shirt off and took Becky's jacket from her hand and put it on. I pushed some of the dirt aside behind a tree then stuffed my shirt and covered it with dirt. "Why though?" Becky asked. "I don't ever want to see that shirt, plus it's Charlotte's" I muttered, shrugging as Becky nodded. We crossed the road to the other side.
