Emma's POV
"Hey? Uh, you okay?" The girl asked, looking up at me as I shook my head. "Y-yeah sorry I have to go," I whispered, walking back and hitting my back against the wall.
I quickly turned around, gripping onto the edge of the door and stumbled out of the bathroom.
The loud music made my heart pound even harder. I felt light-headed, everything around me seemed blurry and my legs were weak.
I walked through the large crowd of people dancing, bumping my shoulders with people constantly, I was sure I would find bruises.
Just as I got out of the living room where everyone was dancing, I bumped into someone who held onto my arms, pulling me back.
I couldn't hear anything, I only heard my heart beating loudly in my ears as I kept trying to walk to the kitchen.
The arms holding me back eventually spun me around and I realized I was staring into Brendon's blue eyes. That's when I snapped.
I let the tears flow down my face freely and sniffled loudly. My mouth was moving but I couldn't hear what I was saying. "Baby, whoa what's wrong, what happened," Brendon tried to ask, holding my shoulders.
I kept shaking my head and tried to pull away. That's when I realized I was saying 'I'm sorry' over and over. I reached into his hoodie pocket and took his car key. I don't think he noticed. I wasn't sure I even knew what I was doing.
I pulled away and quickly ran to the kitchen. I stared at the liquor bottles and gulped when suddenly I felt someone grab my arm roughly.
A tall guy with a big scar on his eyebrow stared directly at me with cold eyes. "She's watching you. She always is," He said then smirked, walking away. I grabbed 2 bottles of vodka and started running out the back door, feeling my arm throb from when he squeezed my arm.
I sat down behind Brendon's car and quickly peeked around it to see if Brendon saw me coming this way. Seeing that no one came out, I knew he didn't.
I quickly spun the cap and threw it away. I gripped onto the bottle and stared at it for a couple of seconds before compelling my shaking arm to move and bring the tip of the bottle to my lips.
I chugged down the vodka, feeling it sting my throat. I didn't miss the feeling, I didn't miss the cold burn, I didn't miss any of this.
I choked and coughed, pulling the bottle away from me.
Levi. Do it for Levi.
I drank even more until eventually, I finished one bottle. My head was already spinning. I wasn't sure I've ever drunk this much this fast. Unless they were shots, I was pretty sure I spent my time finishing each cup.
I took a deep breath and started with the second bottle. I gagged and pulled the drink away and giggled.
I drank once again and after practically forcefully swallowing the cold yet burning liquid, I threw the second bottle away too. I listened to the bottle shatter on the ground.
I stood up but the ground seemed to sway under my feet, suddenly making me lose balance and fall against the car.
I snorted and pushed myself off Brendon's car and tried to pull the door open and groaned rolling my eyes when it wouldn't open.
"Fucking hell, open," I shouted then I noticed the car key on the ground. I picked it up and clicked the car unlock and opened the door, sliding inside.
I pulled the seatbelt and clipped it into place. Where do I go now?
I pressed the accelerator and my eyes widened when I realized I was heading straight towards a car parked in front of Brendon.
