Rich's POV:

After school I was standing in the parking lot, when suddenly I saw a very angry Christine, stomping towards me.

"Here she comes.."

She came up to me and slapped me across the face. Not very hard though cause she didn't actually wanna hurt me.

"What in the fudgenuckles was that?!" She angrily whisper/yelled.

"What was what?" I asked her with an innocent expression. I knew what she meant but I didn't wanna talk about that embarrassment. She wasn't buying my lie.

"Richard Goranski! You dam well know what I'm talking about, stop trying to lie your but off!"

"Okay okay I'm sorry.. I panicked and Jeremy wasn't exactly helping!"

"Just- UGH!" She yelled and stomped off again, leaving me really confused. It wasn't like I wanted to freak out in the middle of everything but Jeremy made me too nervous to talk to Michael with his glare!

Michael's POV:

Christine came walking towards me after school and she looked really frustrated.

"Hey Christine what's wrong?" I asked her.

"He really wanted to talk to you Michael.." She said, referring to Rich.

"But he was the one that left!"

"Because he was scared!"

"Of what?"

"Of Jeremy!"

"JEREMY?!" That made me laugh, Jer couldn't even scare a kitten if he tried to, let alone a school bully.

"I don't know how either, but he was really freaked out about something he did.."

"Damn.." that was all I could say, Rich Goranski tried to talk to me but my best friend scared him off.

"Can you do me a favor?" She asked while handing me a piece of paper, a new energy in her eyes.

"Sure what is it?" I looked at the small paper in my hand and it had a number on it.

"Call him please, he was really bummed out about what happened earlier." She requested.

"Sure!" I actually really wanted to talk to Rich too, I didn't know why but something new about him made me wanna her to know the guy that I once new as my school bully.

***Time skip brought to you by school picture day that is a thing rn***

Once I'd dropped if Jeremy and Christine at their own places I drove home. I walked directly up to my room and plopped down on my bed, taking out my phone and the small piece of paper that Christine gave me. Should I text him? I decided to write out a simple 'hey' on my phone just to be sure I didn't come off as too strong. I let my thumb hover over the send button, unsure if I really should text him. After a solid 5 minutes I pressed send and waited anxiously for a response.
