She was fast and I was having a hard time following her.

Erica kept laughing which was getting really annoying. This goose chase almost felt pointless. Yet, there was something attracting me towards her that didn't feel right. Something was very off and it was taking a while just to see where she was taking me.

Unless this was a mind trick from the forest. It luring me out here and make sure that I lose my way again. Either to go crazy or be hunted.

I'll admit it wasn't smart to chase after what could be a hallucination into the deadliest woods on the Earth. Without leaving a trail or telling someone before running out the door. Yet, I didn't want to lose her unless this was another illusion from shadow guy. He could make some sick things a reality with the crazy mind he has.

   He's the Puppet Master.

He has me at full control right now.

Reeling me in like a fish on a hook to my doom.

Erica was going to lead me somewhere important. I want to be more than part of  The Cure. More than a string and needle to patch skin back together. To help, I need to do something than hide like a coward in a closet. There was nothing to fear but fear itself.

   Infected's weren't fear.

   The Puppet Master wasn't fear.

Fear was just a simple word with a meaning of being afraid. Well, I'm not afraid anymore. Now I'm running into the danger to find answers to my questions. The answers I've so desperately need and if the shadow is willing to give them his way, so be it.

I came to an immediate halt when Erica stopped running and disappeared in thin air. My eyes scanned the area and wondered what was so important about this place. There was nothing that I could see or feel that was off about this place. So...why lead me here then disappear? A wild goose chase to get me lost?

That's when hearing talking a little bit a ways straight ahead. I quietly approached the noise of people conversing while staying low in the bushes. Hiding behind a huge shrub, I poked my head over the plant to see two Imperial Transports.

There were two guys off to the side, talking quite loudly about a prisoner. Could they be talking about Kanan? Is he in one of those transports? I was about to look over at the large vehicles when the men turned and walked in my direction.

Before I could completely hide myself, at the corner of my eye, caught a glimpse of one of the men. He wore black armor and cold eyes seemed focused on something important while his arms were tucked behind his back.

The same Imperial that caught us before.

Kallus.

I didn't know who the other guy was, nor did I care. Kanan was probably the prisoner and trapped just inside one of these two transports. I had to make a quiet and quick decision before they leave. I can finally be useful and save the person who I look up to the most.

Now, which one is it?

"Choose wisely, young one."

I jumped and turned, looking for the cat-like voice whispering deviously into my ear. There was nothing on the ground then I glanced into the tree top. My heart stopped when seeing her.

It wasn't Erica.

It was the other female Inquisitor.

She sat back in the tree comfortably with a leg swinging back and worth. Her hands messed with a pink, healthy flower and eyes didn't look away from it. How did I not sense her presence? Did the Puppet Master block her presence from me?

How in the world are Kallus and the other guy not hearing or seeing us yet? Imperials are so stupid.

"Who are you?" I asked, teeth clenched and a hard glare staring at her. The Inquisitor didn't seemed phased by it and simply jumped down from the branch. She barely made a sound when landing softly on the dead ground.

Her mask still concealed any facial expression and hands still messed with the flower. She knelt down in front of me.

"I am called Second Sister and you my lovely dear..." she paused and cold hand took hold of my jaw. I slapped her hand away, keeping the stone cold look. Second Sister, even though her face was covered, seemed to enjoy me acting this way. Pleased in a way with my...anger.

    I calmed down.

"...have been chosen to join my master. You have a very special blessing he very much desires. Powers of both the dark and light. Yin and yang. Push and pull. The balance of all good and evil, resting inside of you to be released through emotions."

She is crazy! I stared her down and growled.

"Don't lie to me you witch. You and your little friends better leave me alone or else..." I warned.

"Or else what? Do you even know what you can do? How much power is in the puny body of yours? People would go through many wars and deaths just to get their greedy hands on the Cure. But we can change that if you join us," Second Sister offered.

   I huffed, "In your dreams."

"Youngling..." She purred, whispering, "...the dream is still continuing."

The flower she was messing with shriveled up until turning into a pile of dust. Second Sister stood and walked into the closest tree, phasing into it to then disappear. I sighed when realizing that I was still holding my breath.

My mind finally wrapped up to a conclusion of the events that were still happening. I peeked over the bush slightly to see the men parting.

The plant witch wasted my time! Now or never, I have to choose before they drive off. The engines began to hum to life as I sprinted out from behind the bush to the nearest transport. I saw Kallus get in this one so there was a good chance Kanan was in this one.

I had to trust my gut. I've always have so why stop now. I crawled under the vehicle and latched myself onto some pipes. The transport began to move slowly getting faster and faster.

My arms and legs were starting to get tired of holding on. Luckily, they stopped the transport and lowered the ramp. I looked around to see we were still in the forest and nothing seemed to stand out so...why did they stop?

Suddenly, a wave of electricity ran through my body. I screamed in pain and let go of the pipes. Once the electricity stopped, black dots invaded my vision as I passed out.

   My last thought, I'm screwed.
