*flashback*

"Audrey, I need you and your sister to go hide in separate places in the bedroom, and don't come out until I tell you to, okay? You have to be quiet. Can you do that for me?" My mother looked me straight in the eyes, and I could hear the urgency in her voice.

"Yes, momma." I said, trying not to let my little sister, Bailey, know how scared I really was. I had to be strong, for her. I took Bay's hand in mine as I ran up the stairs to my parent's bedroom, pulling my twin behind me. I ran to the closet and opened the door. "Hide in here, and cover yourself up with clothes so you're not found, okay?" I told her, about to close the door.

She whimpered, "W-Why can't you hide with me?" I sighed.

"Momma said no, and we always have to do what she says, right?" She nodded, whimpering again. "Don't make any more sounds, I'm going to hide somewhere else, but I'll still be in the room. You'll be fine." She nodded, covering herself with the last few pieces of clothing. I dove under the bed so I wouldn't be seen just as I heard a loud bang. It sounded like someone kicked down the door.

My mother and father's screams filled my ears all the way from downstairs as shots rang through the air. As soon as the firing stopped, I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. The person entered the room and stopped, as if they were listening for movement. I prayed the they would just go away. The person backed out of the room and started back down the stairs.

"Achoo!" I heard Bay sneeze and my blood ran cold. The person came back up the stairs slowly and walked back into the room. Frozen with fear, I watched as the intruder slammed open the doors of the closet, pulling my sister out; she was in full hysterics.

"This is what Killjoys get for getting in over their heads." I heard him say right in Bailey's ear. She whimpered as he put his gun to her head. She stared at him and then looked away, accidently looking me in the eyes. As he pulled the trigger, my heart seemed to stop. He dropped her now limp body on the floor; a smug grin on his face.

As he walked out of the room, tears ran down my face. I pushed my fists into my eyes, willing it to be a dream. I heard a car pull away, and not five minutes later, another one pulled up. I held my breath as multiple footsteps came through the house and up the stairs. He had sent more people to clean up the mess and they'll find me and kill me too. I was sure of it. A yellow gun was the first thing to enter the room, followed by the person who was holding it; a man with red hair and the same color yellow mask.

"Shit, we're too late." Another man, this one in a green mask, said as he looked at the scene that lay before him.

The man in yellow shook his head, "No, no. There were two." I gasped, making their gazes turn to the bed. The man in yellow made the other person leave the room, and I thought for sure that I was going to die. He crawled over to the bed and looked under; staring me right in the face. He smiled softly, "Will you come out sweetie?" I shook my head and he frowned. "Why not?"

My eyes started to water as I tried to blink the tears away. He sighed, "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to help, to take you away from this before you get hurt." I looked at him with doubt in my eyes, but I crawled out from under the bed anyways. He held out his arms so he could hug me, and I dove for him, sobbing hysterically.

"Shh.. It's okay. I won't let anything happen to you ever again, I promise." I continued to sob as I felt him pick me up, and carry me out of the room. I looked up and the last thing I saw before I blacked out was Bay's lifeless body lying on the floor.

:P

I sat up quickly; sweat coating my forehead. I looked over to see CC and Grace asleep beside the van. Huh, that's funny.. Shouldn't one of us have been keeping watch?
