Rachel's POV
The world is saved from King Mercenare, and for good!
Life is back to normal, although plenty of stuff has changed. Jun is the new student body president of Sea Shell Bay Middle School, which I'm glad about because Maya can relax just a little bit. Regina also enrolled into our school, and I'm always happy to help her on homework, although she asks Maya the whole time. Spendorious and our world stay in touch thanks to the portal Regina and King Mercenare made, and now they've become trading buddies. Speaking of that, Splendorious became a republic, with Johnny as its president. Mackenzie is also now a world-famous (or should I say worlds-famous) star!
To everyone's excitement, we sometimes transform to save others from small situations, like cats getting stuck in super high trees and such. Other than that, everyone in the Glitter Force is living a normal life again.
But, I can't help but think something is missing...One day, after finishing homework (homework always goes first), I laid in bed, trying to find out what exactly was bothering me. Rory, my little pixie friend, glided over to me.
"Everything alright, Rachel?" he asked.
"Yeah, just tired," I murmured, deep in thought.
"Lemme guess... Do you miss transforming and fighting evil?" he guessed.
"Oh, it's not that," I replied.
But I thought a little more about it. Maybe it was fighting evil, but there was something else to it...
Rory seemed to be thinking too, because he cringed at whatever he thought of.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Do you miss fighting... you-know-who?" he replied, grimacing.
"Who, Ira?" I asked. Then I stopped and thought. Me? Missing Ira? That's crazy!
"What's with that look?" Rory flew up to my face and analyzed it.
I didn't realize that I was blushing until he reminded me. "Rachel, you're-"
"Blushing? You gotta be joking," I interrupted, turning away.
"Face it, you miss fighting Ira, much to my disgust," Rory crossed his little arms and pretended to be annoyed.
"No, it's not that!" I exclaimed, my cheeks warming up even more.
The truth was, that was part of what was bothering me, I found out. We saved Regina and her dad, but we forgot about the rest...
Then an idea came to my mind. A crazy one. A VERY crazy one. I asked myself if it was too dangerous, if anyone would like the idea, and if I even had to do it. However, I couldn't help but feel bad for doing nothing about it. I reassured myself that it would get rid of my something-is-missing feeling, plenty of people will benefit from it, and, for sure, Maya would approve of it.
"Let's get to bed, shall we?" I asked Rory. I needed time alone to think about it.
"Sure," Rory went into his little bed. "Heh, just don't dream about Ira tonight."
"Rory..." I murmured as I slipped under the covers.
"I'm only kidding! Good night, Rachel."
"Good night, Rory."The next morning, I made up my mind. I called Maya to tell her about my plan.
"Maya here!" she answered cheerfully after several rings.
"Hi, Maya! It's Rachel," I said.
"Oh hey, Rachel! How are ya?"
"I'm great! Hey, since it's the weekend, I thought we could hang out at the park or something."
"Sounds great!"Later, after having to bear with Rory's questions, I reached the park. I sat down on a bench and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
After what seemed like hours of waiting, Maya came running toward me.
"RACHEL!" she panted. "Sorry I'm late!"
I sighed and said, "It's okay, Maya. Why were you late, anyways?"
"Oh, I was busy picking everyone else up."
I shot up from my napping position. "Wait, what?!"
"Hello, Rachel," a familiar sweet voice said behind me.
"Clara!" I exclaimed, trying to hide my nervousness. Standing next to Clara was Mackenzie, and next to her was Natalie, and next to her was Regina. Kippie, Lance, Davi, and Dina also came, of course.
"Mackenzie, Natalie, everyone! I didn't expect all of you to come!" I sweatdropped.
"Well, expect it the next time — every time —we go out," Natalie smiled. "We'll always be together."
"Anyway, what did you want to tell us about?" Maya asked excitedly.
I started to panic internally. I only wanted Maya to know about the plan first! I didn't know how Natalie or Mackenzie would react!
"Spit it out already, I can't wait!" Regina joined Maya. They both started to plead to me.
"Okay, okay!" I screamed. The two stopped and waited patiently. Maybe the girls would accept my plan and help me. Better to do it now than never.
I took a breath...
