Preface+

My body rocks as I rank my fingers through my hair. They said that the pills they’ve been shoving down my throat would help the hallucinations. They didn’t. They never did. Years and years pills, therapies and mental hospitals hadn’t done shit for me and I was beginning to think it never would.

Demons were around every corner.

Ghosts were at the end of every hall.

Angels were never where you needed them to be.

And humans? They were as useless as they had been made to be.

I don’t know what made me special or able to see the things no one else could but it didn’t make my life any easier. No horse pill or bottle of gin could get rid of my waking nightmares. Nothing could stop the blurred lines of perceived reality and the one that I knew to be real.

I was a freak among the unaware sheep of this earth.

Different.

Squeezing my eyes shut I pray to whatever god has the time to listen.

Praying that something or someone can help me out of this hell.

I just wasn’t banking on someone sending me a dark angel.
