Chapter 2- Sudden Death

        ..But she looked like she wanted to hurt Mavis. As his dead mother rises from the ground, he turns to run away to the gate. As he runs, he can hears her running after him.

       Mavis is getting terrified and yells, "Help!! Someone!"

       But there is no one near to listen to his screams. As he runs further, he sees the gate. Mavis slams his thin body onto the gate, and furiously shakes the handles to open. But they won't budge.

     As his dead mother continues to run after him, Mavis had the idea to climb over the fence. He didn't reach far, she got a hold of his white sweater, and pulled back. As Mavis falls from the gate, she pulls out the knife from her waist. The same knife Mavis used to kill her when he was 7.

     He falls onto the cold, hard ground. Leaving scratches and cuts on his skin, yet he didn't feel a thing. She dragged him into her grave, and as soon as they got there, she stabbed the knife into Mavis's chest, it drew blood. A lot of blood. In a weird voice, his mother spoke to him.

  She said, "Now, you shall suffer the way I did!"

  Without another word, she left.

      Mavis waited 'till she left her resting place. He waited until she left so he can tell Alice what had happened.  As Mavis leaves the grave, he sees his mother walking towards his sister Dayna's grave. He had killed her at the age of  5 because he was jealous that she always had all the attention. Mavis quietly runs towards the gate, and climbs. His mother hears the gate shaking as he climbs it, but Mavis makes it out safe.

       Mavis calmly walks inside the large mansion, and finds Alice preparing a drink for herself. Alice turns around to find him covered in dirt, blood, and grass.

   "Mavis!" she exclaimed. "Why are you so filthy? You were only suppose to walk around in the graveyard. What happened?"

     Mavis brushes off some dirt of his shoulder, and says, "I was face-to-face with my mother and she tried to kill me. All the blood that you see is my blood, not hers."

   Alice puts her hand over her mouth. "But how? How did she come back?"

     Mavis shrugged. "I'm not sure, I guess she felt me coming?"

      He looked behind him and stares at the graveyard. Then looks at Alice. "Please don't send be back there again, she is searching for me."

     Alice spreads her arms out to hug him. "Oh of course I won't, I want to keep you safe."
