  _________3 months later_________

"Okay, I'll give you another clue." Mavis said.

"Make it easy this time, I'm thinking too much." Genevieve complained.

Mavis thought for a moment."She lies underground but surrounded with stone, nothing much..except child bone."

Genevieve smiled. "I will never know, but I'll find her soon."

Mavis smiled, and looked her in the eyes."For 17 years, I have never loved someone." He held her hand, and spoke softly. "I'm just glad I met you."

Genevieve smiled, Mavis blushed. As he leaned in for a kiss, she backed away, nervous to do the same.

Mavis backed away. "What's the matter? I thought you said you loved me."

Genevieve blushed a bit more. "Sorry I..don't know how to, um..."

Mavis wouldn't let her finish her sentence, instead he quickly leaned in close to her face, and kissed her. She slowly closed her eyes and held his hand. Mavis' large black wings quickly opened up, as they sat there in his room, completely dark. Genevieve backed away from him.

"My father would really kill you if he found out."She warned him.

"I don't care if he does." Mavis said, pulling her in for another kiss.

There was a knock on the door. Mavis quickly backed away. Alice came in to see how they were doing.

She looked around the room.

"Hi Mavis, it doesn't look like you two are working here." She said.

"Oh, don't worry, ma'am," Genevieve smiled. "We are working. We're just a little slow."

"Oh, well keep it going!" Alice said.

She left the room and closed the door shut.

Mavis glared at her for a while. "How can you come up with a lie so fast?" He asked.

Genevieve shrugged. "I don't know, it just comes to me."

"Oh, well we actually have to continue to search for your mother."

Mavis commanded.

      "Okay, that's fine." Genevieve said.

Mavis and Genevieve walked around town for a bit, as he gave her more riddles to find her mother. The last one he gave her, she jumped up and smiled brightly.

"I got it! I know where she is!" She exclaimed. "She is lost at the bottom of..a, well..."

"Excellent work," said Mavis. "Now all he have to do is look inside every well in town to find her. If we don't, them she is in a well at another town."

Genevieve frowned. "How do you know where my mother is? Are you some sort of agent, or something?"

Mavis laughed. "No, of course not! You see, I have a friend named Simon Goldsworthy, and he knows just about every monster in town. Then he told me about a lady in a well---"

"Every monster? Everyone is a monster!?" Genevieve interrupted.

Mavis looked confused."Of course we are, why do you think I look like a demon?" He asked.

Genevieve became very afraid of Mavis. Her eyes got wider and trembled.

"A d-demon? I thought you were some sort of angel!" Genevieve said.

"What are you, Genevieve? A human? Because I never seen a human with purple hair." Mavis thought out loud.

Genevieve smoothly touched her hair."My hair was brown. Ever heard of hair dye?"

Mavis looked confused again."Not really. Didn't I tell you I was locked up for 7 years in my own house, then got adopted by Alice and haven't left that mansion for 10 more years?"

"No...you never told me." said Genevieve, really surprised.

"Oh....well now you know." said Mavis. "Anyways, yes. I am a demon, but you're right, also an angel. I guess you can call me a dark angel or demonic piece of Heaven."

Genevieve smiled. "I prefer dark angel."

Mavis smiled a bit. " Okay, good enough for me. C'mon, let's keep walking."

As they walked, Genevieve was relieved that she asked about the town. She walked a little closer to him. Mavis noticed she did. He held her hand and blushed. They stopped walking so Mavis can kiss her cheek.

He leaned in close to her ear, and whispered, "I love you, Genevieve."

Genevieve smiled. She hugged him and blushed pure red. "I love you too, Mavis. I don't ever want to loose you."

Mavis looked down at her, nervously. "There's something you have to know, first."

"Okay, you can tell me whatever you need to." She cried.

Mavis spoke up. "I am suicidal. I died once but lived again."

Genevieve couldn't believe what she was hearing. " Do you want to die? Why?"

Mavis shrugged. "People didn't understand what I was going through. I don't know where my father is, but I know he is alive. I was having trouble searching him, but I didn't know his name. I wanted to end my life so that he can stop searching for me and rest."

A moment of silence began to grow. Genevieve put her hand on his face, and whispered, "I can help you search. I will do anything for you."

Mavis placed his hand on hers. He leaned down and kissed her nose. "Thank you." he said.

Genevieve looked up. "So tell me more about this Simon guy. How did he find my mother?" she asked.

"Okay, so when he saw strange monsters in town, he would come tell me so that I can somehow 'fix' it. Simon told me about a lady in a well, but he told me where it was."

"Why didn't you help her?" asked Genevieve.

"Well I was, but she wanted to die down there. She told me something about wanting to find her daughter after her husband took her away. But she never did. She also said that she gave up and wanted to die of depression."

Genevieve opened up her eyes real wide. "Can you contact your friend and check if she is still there?" she asked.

Mavis thought for a moment. "We can try to contact him, on one condition."

"Um, okay?" said Genevieve, with a confused look.

"Every time you come over, never mention my little sister, Raven."

"Okay, no problem!" Genevieve smiled. "But why not?"

      Mavis whispered, "Bad things happen."

"Oh..okay. Can we go to Simon, now?" asked Genevieve.

"Alright. Sorry, let's go now." he apologized.
