Mavis finally arrived home. It has been about 3 days since he was away. When he opened the door, Kimi was about to attack him. But when she saw him, her face saddened.
She ran to hug Mavis, and said, "Where the hell were you, Mavis!? Mother has been going crazy trying to find you." she said.
Mavis shrugged. "I was in town the whole time, helping a girl find her mom."
Kimi backed away. "A girl? Who is she?" she asked.
"Just some girl. Her name is Genevieve." he explained.
Kimi sniffed his vest. "You smell like a girl, have you been...all over her?"
Mavis confessed. "Okay, yes. I am in love with her and she is with me. I've kissed her a couple times, and I have been hanging out with Simon."
Kimi smiled. "Congrats. You finally found a girl to be with. Now you can understand my feelings."
"Just because you are going out with Stephan, doesn't mean I understand what you two do every minute of the day." Mavis said.
" I mean now you understand the things I've told you on how to get the girl. Also how you might feel." Kimi explained.
" Oh, well okay. Where's Alice?" He asked.
Kimi pointed upstairs. "She is in the balcony. And for once, call her mum!"
Mavis laughed. "Nah I'm good."
He went upstairs to see Alice.
He slowly opened the large glass doors to the balcony. He saw Alice, crying. Mavis was about to say her name, but she said, "Please, Mavis. Wherever you are, please be safe and alive. I can't loose another child!"
As soon as she stopped talking, Mavis became afraid. He quickly ran out of the room to look for Raven. She cannot be dead. He searched in every room of the mansion, but Raven was nowhere to be found. Mavis stopped running halfway through the hallway, he messed with his hair and panicked. He ran downstairs.
Mavis held Kimi by the arms and asked, "Where the HELL is Raven!?" Kimi stayed quiet, but oddly nervous. Mavis began to tear up. " Kimi, I'm done fucking around, where is she?"
Kimi looked down. Mavis let go of her arms. "When she found out you went missing, she became very depressed. Raven didn't want to keep living without you because we never had a brother like you. I told her that she can't die because we are obviously undead."
"But since she can't die, she is still alive!" Mavis interrupted.
" She can barely read, but she read some books on how to murder a vampire. She sneaked into your room and. . .Raven always knew about your weapons, she stabbed her heart with your machete." Kimi began to cry.
" Where is she buried?" Mavis asked.
"In the cemetery down the road. Her tombstone is sculpted as her, holding her toy doll, Jade. In front of it, mother placed jet black roses there, along with Raven's favorite toys."
Mavis headed to the door. "I want to see it for myself. Simon has the kind of technology to bring someone back to life, but he never tried it on a child."
"But what if she doesn't--"
"She will return!" Mavis interrupted. "I trust Simon with this."
Not another word was spoken. Mavis headed out the door, and on his way to Simon's home.
