All Of Me

This is what happens when I'm forced away from you and left with pen and paper, I write sappy, stupid poetry.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before you,
I couldn't imagine spending my whole life,
Every second,
Every moment,
Every day,
With one person.
But now I can't imagine it any other way.
And so,
To you,
I give everything.
All of me.
From my head,
To my toes,
And everything in between.
All those spots you like to kiss and caress.
All those places I like for you to kiss and caress.
And all those places that can't be seen.
The corners of my heart,
And of my mind,
Places no one else has seen.
I pour my soul into your cupped hands.
The cobwebbed memories,
Good and bad,
The light love in my heart,
And the burden of my dark, brooding doubts.
The insecurities.
The fears.
I trust these to you knowing you can dispel them with your sweet words,
Like mist in sunlight,
And I shall try,
With all of my imperfect being,
To do the same for you.
I can never hope to match,
Or repay,
The priceless deeds,
The golden words,
Or the tender expressions,
You have bestowed,
Poured upon me,
Little,
Broken,
Me,
Like a life-giving summer rain.
So,
To you,
I give everything.
All of me.
In the hope that it is enough.
