Epilogue
After moping for months, I hear the doorbell ring. I don't want to get up, but my mom isn't home, and if I don't get it, then no one will. I finally choose to get up when I get the idea that it might be Marcus. I sprint to the door, and yank it open with such force, it almost broke. I look around, and no one is there.
"Stupid kids." I think. Then I look down. Roses. Real, red roses; my favorite kind. I pick them up and bring them to my face. I take a deep whiff of the beautiful flowers. Only one person knew my favorite kind. I look at the tag. What I see brings tears and laughter back to my eyes. I skip to my room, and put the flowers into the best vase I could find. Because the note that was attached was from the one and only. It said...
The first day I was on that bus, I was befuddled when you took my hand. When you circled yes to go to the prom with me, I almost jumped for joy. And to think that you are reading this note right now, It brings tears to my eyes. I am trying to convince my parents to let me come and visit you. Lets hope it works!!! I love you, Forever and Always,
Marcus Tone
P.S. Don't cry!!!!
I wipe the tears away from my eyes. My love, my one and only, might come to see me. My father has been taken away, and my life is now put back together. Oh, what a wonderful life!
