~Alex POV~
I had just finished texting Jason letting him know that we were about six hours away from his uncle’s ranch. I glanced a look at Chelsea sitting in the back, looking so beautiful as she slept. After what happened between her and I, Kevin banned her from sitting up front with me. I didn’t see what his problem was. I mean she loved him. So what if I like her?
“She’s really sleep huh?” I commented.
“Yeah. Leave her alone man. I mean it,” he snapped.
“It’s not like i’m saying that i’d f*ck her or anything,” I smirked.
“Leave her alone Alex.”
“Leave who alone?” he angelic voice asked.
“Rise and shine princess. Sorry we woke you,” I told her softly.
Kevin hit my arm and I didn’t even flinch. Like what do you expect?
“You punch like a girl,” I chuckled.
Chelsea found it funny because she was laughing. Pretty soon my chuckled turned into belly laughs and Kevin was not amused.
“What the hell Chels?” he yelled while his face was turning red.
“What now Kevin?” she groaned.
“What do you mean ‘what now?’?” Kevin looked at her through the mirror.
“I mean, everything that I do with Alex is a problem to you. Like get over it. You already know that I love you, so why are you jealous?” she all but yelled at him.
“Because you are too stupid and naive to realise that he likes you as more that a business partner!” he yelled.
“I think she knows that young grasshopper,” I sighed.
“Yeah, I do.”
“Well do something about it Chelsea! Because right now, all I see is you flirting back with him like i’m not even here,” he ranted, “Like what the hell, do you like him or something?” he accused.
“Kevin you already know how I feel about you,” she sounded irritated.
“But I don’t know how you feel towards him,” he pointed his finger at me.
Their little argument progressed for a few more minutes. No, a few more HOURS and I was getting more annoyed by the minute. They were calling each other everything varying from a ‘peanut head’ to a ‘backstabbing son of a bitch’. It was so annoying. Why did I have to make a deal with these two airheads? Couldn’t it have been people who were a little more stable?
“Will the both of you shut up already? Kevin you’re acting like a little bitch and Chelsea you’re just angering him even more,” I sighed frustrated.
“I’m not a bitch!” Kevin yelled.
Chelsea cringed and I didn’t move a muscle.I was focused on the road ahead. With that in mind I checked the time and we were two hours away now.
“He didn’t say you were one, he said you were acting like one!” Chelsea defended me.
“See! There you go again, defending the bastard like he’s your boyfriend. Well newsflash Chelsea Angels, I’M YOUR BOYFRIEND!” he yelled.
“Maybe if you used your ears and your brain I wouldn’t have to defend him,”she mumbled.
“Excuse me?” he asked.
