Deciding

Harry paced up and down his office floor.

How was he meant to choose who should come back alive? Each and every person he visited deserved another chance at life.

He thought back to what Hermione has said, about how the people resurrected came back at the age they would be if they hadn't died. That was worth noting he decided.

He suddenly remembered the gift from Tonks to Teddy he had been given, so he took it out of his pocket and placed it in the desk- that would be useful in the future! He also remembered he had to send Sirius's letter. He appartated to Gringotts quickly, and asked to be taken to the Black vault. He had been in there plenty of times since Sirius had left it to him, but he had never seen a letter.

He wandered around the massive vault for a while, looking for a letter but didn't seen one. But then, out of the corner of his eye he saw something catch the light. He walked over to the object to find it was a long box, with mirror hearts encrusted all over the top, and a silver M below them. Sirius had mentioned an 'M' he remembered. He opened the box carefully, and inside sat a long gold chain, with a beautiful diamond ring attached. A tiny card was tucked underneath, the writing visible.

"Dear M,

This was round my neck the day the Potters died. I had planned on giving it to you that evening. When i escaped Askaban, i couldn't risk finding you, for the fear that you would become too mixed into the Order, and i couldn't bear the thought of you dying like you parents, and the Potters. I know it is too late now, but just so you know, i never stopped loving you. This ring kept me sane in askaban, just knowing that you and Harry were out there alone made me want escape, and the thought of keeping you safe made me spend hours doing Order stuff. I hope you are happy in your life, and i'm sorry.

Love S xx"

A tear escaped from Harry's eye. He had never thought about Sirius being in Love, but now he recognized the look in his eye, the look of someone missing the one they love. He pocketed the letter and the box, and then apparated home, and began pacing again.

First there was Sirius, the man whose life had been horrible, stuck in askaban for 12 years, and never gave up on the girl he loved. But then again, he was with the few people who bought the only sunshine into his dark life; his best friends... Would it be fair to take that away from him, after so many years without them?

Then Dumbledore; the brains behind defeating Voldemort. The man who knows so much, and so powerful? But then, he was with Arianna, and she was safe. And Dumbledore was old for a wizard. He would only live for a few more years before he died again. But then again, he knew so much.

Then Dobby. Loyal, brave, sacrificial Dobby. He had saved Harry's life more than once, and Harry owed his life to him.

Remus, who had suffered in pain for 10 years of his life; both his best friends taken from him, and he was left to suffer with his problem alone. And he was finally back with them, and the girl he loved. But then his Son was here, alone in the world, who like harry had lost both parents to the war. Harry himself would have loved just one parent to be there for him, and imagined Ted would feel the same. But then separating Tonks and Remus would be so cruel.

Tonks, the cheerful happy clumsy auror, who had become one of Harry's great friends. She deserved to watch her son grow up, and be there for him, But again, separating her from Remus would be so cruel. Ted had grown up with Ginny and Harry being his 'parental figures' in love, if not by blood.  Would Ted, who is only 11, be able to accept that his Mum was back alive? Or would he just get emotionally confused?

Fred, the only person who could laugh during hard times, other than his twin, who now, was depressive, and felt alone. But he was with his Idols, Sirius and James, causing havoc with peeves.

Snape, was finally with the girl he loved, but she was with James anyway, so he is still alone. He hated life, so he wouldn't want to come back, and however brave he had been, Harry felt that if he thanked him by bringing him back to life, Snape would hate hin more than ever!

Regulus, the brave boy, who had changed from the Dark to the Light, even if it had been a little late.

James Potter, finally with all the Marauders again. Harry would love to bring him back, to have a fatherly figure in his life, to play quidditch with,  James and Lilly couldn't be separated either.

Lily, the girl who sacrificed herself to save Harry, so he could survive. He owed her his life. But he couldn't separate her from James. Harry loved her so much though.

Alice, and her innocence. Could he bring her into a world of pain, even though Voldemort was gone?

Deciding was going to be hard, but he knew it was up to him. He sat thinking for a while, before coming up with 2 people he was definitely going to save. He decided he would resurrect these two first, and then ask them who to resurrect lastly.
