Mark spends a week in the hotel, slowly losing it as he doesn't hear from his loves. He has no idea what's going on, or why they were even there that day. They answered none of his questions and the only affection he got in the car was Yugyeoms leg smashed against his in the back seat.

He is no longer a prisoner but he still feels like one, cooped up in his hotel room until he gets word from them. Those were Jaebum's instructions.

Theres a knock on the door but Mark doesn't get up to answer it, at this point room service knows to leave it outside and he'll pick it up whenever he feels like it.

It's more annoying than anything else when the person knocks again, despite the 'do not disturb' sign, still diligently hanging from the knob.

A third knock and Mark is feeling homicidal. He knows it irrational and it's a testament to how far he's come in therapy that he doesn't jump right up and kill the person.

"Are you asleep?" He hears a familiar voice yell from the other side of the door. "Please open the door!"

"Jackson?" Mark scrambles up from the bed reaching for the door long before he is in front of it. He yanks the door open, nearly collapsing when he sees Jackson, looking his best in a nice white shirt and slacks.

"Oh, Mark" Jackson steps into the room, reaching for Mark, and pulls him into a kiss. Also not apart of the plan, but he couldn't help himself. Its been too damn long. He also cant keep himself from pulling aimlessly at Mark's shirt, suddenly yearning to have him naked.

"Jackson, what are you—oh, ah—" Mark moans as Jackson nibbles his ear lobe, catching him off guard.

"You're right, this isn't why I have come" Jackson pulls away so swiftly that Mark almost trips.

"Why are you talking like that?"

"We must go, the dragon has been slayed! Now off to the castle!" Jackson scoops Mark up in his arms and jogs towards the door.

"What the hell? Put me down! This is embarrassing!" They pass several people on the way down the stairs until Mark is hiding his face in Jackson's neck just to avoid the stares. "Jackson please put me down, and tell me what is going on"

"We've found a better castle—"

"Fucking drop the act and tell me what's going on"

"An apartment, we've found an apartment for you, temporarily, so—"

"An apartment? No no no I want to go home—" Mark squirms teaching for the ground but Jackson only holds him tighter.

"Things are going to be different now, Mark," Jackson pauses in the doorway, moving Marks face where he can see it. "I'm taking you to an apartment, and then soon, you can come home, but it won't be the home you're thinking of"

"Jackson–Jaebum, I need to talk to Jaebum, he wouldn't abandon—"

"Woah, no one is abandoning you," Jackson sets Mark down, but pulls right into a tight hug. "We're doing some renovations at the house, mostly to your room so you can't stay there right now, we would never abandon you, is that what you thought?"

"Well what I suppose to think??" Mark cries, hitting Jackson hard enough in the chest that he lets go so Makr can look at him. "You guys didn't say anything, you didn't tell me anything! And then I'm stuck in that hotel room for a week, without a word!"

Jackson's momentarily frozen in place unsure of what to do because he's never seen Mark cry before.

"Markie, honey," Jackson grabs him again before Mark can hide himself. "I'm sorry, we never meant to make you feel abandoned, things happened really fast, we didn't mean to leave you behind"
