Over the course of the next two weeks Janessa and I have gotten closer. But I think I might end it. There's nothing wrong with her but she might become a part of the company. My supervisor told me to set up a meeting with her and marketing meaning her designs got approved for QR. I've been stalling because I love spending time with her but I'm also not going to let my selfishness stunt her growth. Especially when it's a great opportunity like this. I set it up for next week. I remember when I told her too. She was so fucking excited and just all together ready for the change. I was happy for her but then I started thinking. She wanted to travel the world with her clothes. I thought about what I want, to start a family and settle down. I mean I could do that with her but who's trying to lug children to a different country every week. I didn't want that for my kids. At the end of the day while Janessa would be a great person to be with I see no future for us. It's probably best that we stay friends. But until she gets on payroll, we still fucking. Might as well enjoy it while we can. Ugh I hate thinking about things so serious. It's honestly a mood killer. "Alright listen up everyone. The annual anniversary party is on Saturday," our supervisor got everyone in the office's attention. I was super fucking excited. Every year Queer Q hosts this big business party celebrating however many years the company has been running.

"As you know the top 10 performers in each part of the company get to go and seeing that we only have 8 here you all are invited. Including Jamie if you'd like to go as well," he looked over at Jamie. "Please if you plan on going let me know by checking your name off before 4:30 because I have to leave exactly at 5 and names need to be sent in today. If you're bringing a plus one please indicate so. The paper will be in the break room. Also, to Jamie, Kayla, Brian, and Amber, and Omar, you all are invited to the after party hosted by Love, The Gays so please let me know if you're going to be going so I can let them know," Josh said and that was where my excitement was stemming from. Queer Q has this partnership with this big ass YouTube channel called Love, The Gays. Its main focus is to showcase minority lgbt+ content and their parties are always dope. They always invite all of the minorities working with Queer Q to their parties which are way less formal than Queer Q's. I always enjoy myself while there and it's nice to see minorities succeed. "Other than that, Jamie's supposed to be sending out the supply order in about an hour so if you need anything office supply related tell Jamie before it goes out. The next one won't be until next month. Samantha, I need to see you in my office. That's all," Josh said before disappearing into his office.

All eyes were glued to Samantha. Thieving ass. "You snitch?" Brian turned around and whispered and I nodded. "Ok me too," he said and I laughed. Everyone was talking about it but as soon as Josh's door opened the office fell silent. Samantha went over to Jamie and whispered something in his ear. She walked away with her head down and started going through her desk. "Oop," Brian turned around to his desk. I did the same and went back to work. I had did the same realizing that I really wasn't that busy. I tried to busy myself by checking my emails but my inbox was empty. I looked at the time and it was 1:00. Can you say lunch break? I turned around with phone in hand to see Brian looking in his mirror. "You finally ready?" he asked making me laugh. "Yea let's go," I got up from my desk shutting down my laptop. "Good, cause I was waiting for about an hour and was getting ready to leave you here," he said getting up. By the time we reached the front of the building we both looked at each other. "Not really hungry either?" I asked and he laughed. "No," and this is why we're best friends. It's like we're connected someway. "Snack and a walk?" He asked and I nodded. We went into the pro shop attached to our building and grabbed some chips and drinks before starting our walk.

We walked for about an hour which was way over our 30 minuet lunch break. But I'll admit when I'm wrong. We were so caught up in talking that we weren't paying attention to the time. I hoped that Josh didn't recognize that we were gone for so long. We walked in the office to see that everyone was whispering while Samantha was packing her shit into a box. I assumed that she got fired and laughed to myself. And this, kids, is why we don't take things that aren't ours. I sat at my desk and went about my business. Moments later I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around only to feel a sharp sting on my face. I tried to hold my temper but almost lost it when I looked up and it was Samantha. "Bitch this is all your fault," she said and I looked at her like she was crazy. "Now I don't know what batshit drug you're on but you need to lower your voice when talking to me and never put your hands on me again," I said in the calmest voice I could manage. "Fuck you Kayla. You're always lying. Accusing me of being a thief and now it's cost me my job. When the entire time you've just been mad because I rejected you," she yelled making me laugh. "Now I really know you're on drugs. Don't nobody want you goofy lookin ass," I said and she raised her hand to slap me but I caught it before she could hit me. I squeezed the shit out of her wrist and you could see the pain on her face. "Could have sworn I said don't put yo hands on me again girl," I said throwing her wrist away from my face.
