Chapter 12

The past month has been uneventful. I've just been chilling, getting work done and not doing a whole lot. Nikita and I have been speaking a lot but we haven't been seeing each other. She's been extremely busy as of late but has been mildly possessive as well. I don't know really how to respond to it but Brian doesn't like her anymore. Every time I hang out with him she always seems to demand my attention. Sometimes I think it's purposely and I promised him I would talk to her about it. I planned for us to go out tomorrow because Yvonne, Janessa, and I were going out tonight for Brian's birthday. He planned on turning all the way up since he didn't get to have a party last year and was too fucking excited. I think Warren was supposed to be going but not to the first part of the night. We were supposed to be going to some club for the first part of the night and then back to someone's house for some other shit. I didn't get the plan in its entirety just that we were going to be out all night.

I had come back from my work out to see I had a text from Yvonne that was a little shocking to me. She was asking me if Brian would be mad if she brought someone with her. This girl had barely any friends so who was she trying to invite? You know what let me chill out because she ain't my girl and I am kind of involved with Nikita so it's fair. I'm not going to lie that I kind of felt a little hurt that she didn't tell me but once again she doesn't know I'm involved with someone else either. Regardless I had to go help Brian out anyways an I knew him being the busybody he was would be having me going around doing everything. It would take my mind off of the whole thing. I put some food down for Royale and fresh water while I went to get my stuff to put in the car. Royale has become my shadow as of lately. So, of course, she followed me back upstairs as I started to pack my bag for tonight knowing that I wasn't going to have time to change before this party starts. That's when I got a text from Nikita.

Nikita😍: Hey sexy you coming over tonight 😏

I was not aware that I was supposed to be coming tonight I thought we were meeting up tomorrow. I don't even think I'll be able to from how late I'll know I'll be out.

Me: I thought we were meeting tomorrow

Nikita 😍: I know but I miss you 😔

Nikita 😍: I haven't seen you all week....I need you

Me: I'll see what I can do but you know Brian's birthday is today so 😗

Nikita 😍: Im sure he doesn't need you there...he will have other friends and I'm sure more parties

Me: I know but he's my best friend what do I look like not showing up to his party

Nikita 😍: Brain is a grown man Kayla he will be fine without you there

Nikita 😍: He can put on his big boy panties and become independent without you

Me: Chill out 😐

Me: I'll see what I can do but I'm not making any promises

Nikita 😍: Mhm...

Me: See you tomorrow for sure

She didn't respond so I knew she was mad but Warren was calling me and I already knew what it was about. "Yo, where are you even at?" He asked before I could even say anything. "I'm at home but I am putting my bag into my car and about to leave as we speak," I said throwing the rest of my stuff in the bag and zipping it up. I prayed that I wasn't forgetting anything. "Alright well hurry the fuck up before I choke this nigga out," he said and of course I heard Brian in the background. "You not gon choke nobody out the fuck. Do it I fucking dare you," he was loud too. "Who the fuck is you yelling at?" I heard before the phone hung up. I rushed to the car and sped to Brian's house before the two of them tore each other apart. I pulled in front of the house to Warren in the doorway yelling into the house. He slammed the door and started toward his car when he noticed me getting out of the car. "Go talk to him before I put him in a body bag," he said with the straightest face I've ever seen. "When are you coming back?" I asked. "Before 4. I need to go check on something anyways," she said slamming his car door and pulling out the driveway before I could say anything.
