A Summer To Remember H.S.

Chapter 11

Kendall's POV

Mine and Harry's cuddling session was interrupted by a knock on the door,

"NOT IT," Harry yelled.

"Ugh fine I'll get it," I said, getting up off of the couch. Haz is such a lazy butt.

When I opened the door I was surprised to find my cousins, Luke and Ashton, my younger brother Karson, and some of my old friends.

"SURPRISE!" they all yelled in unison. What the heck are they all doing here?

"Uhm.. Hi?" I stuttered, still confused on why they were all here.

Luke spoke up first, "We all got together to celebrate your graduation. You never did have a party." Hmm I guess I didn't. Well I guess I am now.

"Oh well thank you!" I said giving Luke a big hug, "When did you get your lip pierced?" I asked. He was like a brother to me.

"Well let's just say that college parties can get pretty crazy," he said, with a cheeky grin on his face while draping his arm around my shoulder.

We walk inside and Harry's face lights up with an unidentifiable emotion when he sees Luke's arm around my shoulder. Hmm what is it? Is that.. jealously I see? Harry immediately relaxed when I introduced him as my cousin.

Suddenly, my younger brother Karson hands me a huge gift. I'm not sure what it is but it sure is heavy. Like dang!

I open it up and see the most precious gift ever.. MY OLD XBOX 360!

I wrap Karson up in a huge bear hug and ask, "What will you do without it at home? You played on that like, 24/7!"

"I bought myself an Xbox One," he says casually. Lucky butt. I still love my old 360 though.. So many great memories were made with that old thing.. Hours of Call of Duty, GTA, and Fifa 14. Wait. Oh my God. HE DIDN'T BRING ANY OF MY OLD GAMES.

"Karson! You forgot the games!" I whined. Those games were my life when I was younger.

"Alright, alright. I was gonna give you these later but I guess now is okay," he remarked, handing me a whole bag of games.

GTA 5, all of the COD games, Fifa 14, NBA 2K14, and many of my other favorites were placed into my hands. I love this kid. He knows me so well.

"YOU ARE THE BEST BROTHER EVER!" I scream. It's hard to believe that he's already 15! Man time really flies.

He gives me a hug and I say hello to my cousin Ashton. We were never really that close because he was 3 years older than me and he thought he was too cool for me. Luke and I on the other hand, were, like, bestie/sibling/cousin things all mixed together. Gahh you know what I mean. We're just really close even though he's a year older than me.

I join my big group of friends that are all chatting each others' heads off. Wow they never got along in middle school but look at them now!

I spot Amanda towards the back of the group and move towards her.

"Heyy girlie! Long time no see!" I laugh.

"Kendi! I can't believe you already graduated! I hate being a year younger than you! The neighborhood is so boring without you there. There's no one to hang out with! I miss you," She rambled. Man I've missed this girl. I've known her since birth. Well, not really cuz I was a year old when she was born but WHATEVER.

"I miss you too! So many great memories were made in that neighborhood."

Our conversation lasts for about an hour more and then I talk to some of my middle school friends like Aly and Olivia and those awesome people.

Towards the end of the party we all cuddle up by a bonfire we built outside. Me and Luke tell old stories of when we were little. I tell my all time favorite of course. My favorite is of when he used to be obsessed with Johnny Cash, so he would put on his suit, slick his hair to the side, and sing old songs like "Ring of Fire". Luke demonstrates his "singing skills" by performing some other songs by Johnny Cash.

I have to admit that he has gotten better. I could tell he was making some of the girls swoon because they started to giggle and whisper to each other. Ugh it's like middle school all over again.
