With a beep, the tranquility of the morning was broken. The new annoying sound echoed for a little longer, in a high liquid tone. However, there was no response as expected. He stands up, the sound of the flying wings of the birds and the wet breeze on the tree leaves alerted him. With downcast eyes he took a deep breath once again. He rolled the thumb and index finger, and putting them between his lips he let out a long whistle. A new beep ringing incessantly urged him forward. That's when a man suddenly appeared in sight. He saw the man carefully lowering, and with cautious steps he went ahead. He followed his actions but in a certain point, he lost track of him. He sat down at the back of a huge ebony tree and waited. When Luhan leaned back to his position, he picked up his rifle of his shoulders and watched through the scope. While he had his eyes closed he estimated there was a significant distance between them. The countdown started on his mind.

One, two... Three.

Baang, his bullet hit the target.

Luhan frowned looking askance to the sky for a while; he heard the sound of jets gunshots at the distance. It wouldn't take long for the rest of the group to show up. He had to join Lay before it's too late. Luhan waited for a moment and then hurriedly tried to skip the branches and the grapevines while he went down the tree. Something was sticking out in the fallen man's pocket as he approached him. That was unexpected; it was a navy wallet and the shaped of a charmingly green passport. Someone wouldn't stick to that sort of thing, right?

He opened checking the contents inside. He saw a familiar face as soon as he opened; there were also multiple coupons, family pictures, an useless domestic credit card. Once Luhan confirmed the main character in the wallet again, he shoved all the documents in his pants pocket. Then he studied the man's breath while hunkered down beside him.

"Hey, rigor mortis", he caught himself saying that clearly, next to the man's head. "What happend with the passport owner?"

The man vomited blood. "He was ki-killed..." his voice trailed off, he was shortness of breath. Luhan slightly furrowed his brow looking at him. And then, he felt the first raindrops before realizing the rain began to fall hard.

The room was empty when Minseok woke up. The atmosphere was cool, however the damp remained there. He stays under the blankets, lazily sprawling out in Chen's bed. How could it be that he had fallen asleep. He didn't have idea about the time either since his watch was broken. After drew open the curtains and watch the pouring rain outside, Minseok returned back to bed. Suddenly he reminded he hasn't eaten anything between those few days and looking around he realized there was nothing edible in the room.

Minseok sighed deeply. No internet and TV, too. Minseok didn't know how to spend time without cell phones either. If only there were something he could do by himself. Minseok was worried about his near future living in that camp. The knowledge that he gained from school was useless, he didn't learn how to bear arms. He should be learning Chinese but that was beyond his means, even the army knows he was unsatisfactory to the standards. Now that he thinks about it, it was a risky plan visit the south China in the first place, not to mention that he had to pick those relief supplies. His regret was never-ending. Minseok wiped his face with both hands.
