Chapter XII

The emergency drill of the building rang throughout BigHit Entertainment. Good thing BTS wasn't here right now, otherwise they might be as good as dead.

Everyone walked out of the building confused, but I know better. Something happened, and I can't help but feel anxious about it.

I walked towards the main lobby when I saw policemen and the other agents from YG.

"Suhyun-ah!" I called out to her as she was done interviewing a staff. She looked up to me as I walked towards her. "What happened?"

"Someone was killed throughout the day. From the body, the incident happened two hours ago." I was shocked from the news. How come I haven't seen it from the cameras when I was watching it the whole day?

"Did you look through the CCTVs?" I asked as my eyes wondered through a place where many policemen gathered, which I assumed was the place of the murder.

"We did, but it was tampered. The tech department made sure to find the tampered footage and its whereabouts."

Me and Suhyun walked to the crime scene and the whole thing I noticed was the bloody wall with a message.

Count the days where your boys will be next.

I looked at the victim and I recognized him as Mr. Dong, one of the cameraman of BTS. The last time I saw him was during the shooting of the latest BTS Run episode.

"Who, in the right mind, would do this?" Suhyun murmured under her breath.

"As far as I know, he or she wants to take revenge, but what possible means exactly?"

"Damn." She cussed. "I can't sleep a wink tonight because of this. A lot of paperworks to do."

I smiled. From all of us, Suhyun has an advantage. Being YG-Sajangnim's assistant along with her brother Chanhyuk, she graduated as a top student in forensics and she was very recommended to different agencies and departments, but she chose YG because of the secret she's been keeping this whole time.

The secret that YG-sajangnim are their great-uncle.

I patted her shoulder. "Nothing like a good cup of caffeine won't fix. Let's head to Starbucks later."

"Ne, eonnie." She answered with a smile.

For now, I have to handle this situation. The boys shouldn't know about this, or they'll freak. Worse, they might be in more danger. Be as it may, I will protect them from these bastards.

I was about to get out of the scene when something caught my eye. I took a closer look at it and called Suhyun.

"Eonnie?"

"Look." I pointed out a fine piece of fingernail chip in the carpeted floor. It looked big enough to be seen on a naked eye but having a good vision is recommended to see it right away.

"Oh my god, this is a clue." She took out a ziploc bag and a pair of tweezers to get the chip and dropped it inside the bag. "This will be in good use for later. Thanks, eonnie."

"Anytime."

"It's kinda weird now that Lisa isn't here." Jimin commented out of the blue, startling the rest. Right now, they are going to a presscom, but the venue was still few hours away so they're stuck in their mini bus.

"Now that you mentioned it, I felt empty." Hoseok dramatically said as he acted like he was stabbed in the chest, earning a laugh from a few.

However, Jungkook didn't reply. He was wearing his earphones, yet he can hear their conversation pretty clearly. And he can't help but remember the time he asked some gift advice from her. It was quite unusual for him to be casual in front of girls. He is usually shy in front of them, even with his own IU-sunbaenim. Plus, seeing her so innocent yet so mysterious intrigued him.

"...let's surprise her." That's the last thing he heard from one of his members and he jolted up, removing his earphones.

"What surp—ow!" He hissed as he bumped his own head at the roof of the bus, forgetting he was there in the first place. The members looked at him hilariously and laughed hard, with Jin's squeaky laugh stood out.

"Yah, Jungkook-ah. Did you even ate your breakfast? You look like you've seen a ghost." Namjoon commented after regaining his posture after laughing. They really needed a good laugh right now since they haven't really bonded much because of their comeback promotions.

"Also, you're face is as red as a tomato. Didn't you attended IU-sunbaenim's birthday party yesterday?" From what Jimin said, the mini bus was filled with squeals, mainly coming from Hoseok.

"How did it go?" Come to think of it, the members haven't heard from Jungkook after he came from her party. Since Jin was the last to sleep through the night, he noticed Jungkook came home late and he looked worn out. Without even noticing Jin from his behind, he entered his room without looking back.

Jungkook sighed annoyingly. He just reacted because of Lisa and now he became the center of attention. He scratched the back of his neck. "Actually...."

Suddenly, Taehyung gasped. "Ya! Don't tell me THE LEE JIEUN returned your years of possessive fanboying because that will be entirely impossible."

This earned a glare from Jungkook and Jimin, so Taehyung raised both of his arms as a gesture of surrender.

"As I was saying," Jungkook continued, "IU-sunbaenim barely noticed me at the party. She had so many friends and her co-workers from her drama Scarlet Hearts. Either way, I gave her personally my gift, courtesy of Lisa."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. LISA? As in our personal assistant Lisa?" Namjoon was shocked. He knew Jungkook didn't like Lisa from the start but what he didn't knew is that he is starting to warm up to her.

Jungkook looked away, slightly blushing because he quite remembered the stain incident. "Uh, yeah. Actually, the gift came from her. She said that I don't have to spend it because she have the perfect gift for a lady like IU-sunbaenim."

Suddenly, Yoongi interrupted. "And when did you actually warm up to her?" From the start, Yoongi was actually listening to their conversation. He can't help but be sensitive when it comes to Lisa, and the possible fact that Jungkook may like her pained him.

He sighed deeply. "Tell me Jungkook, do you like Lisa?"

Okay.. I'm sorry for the rush haha. But eventually I really cannot focus on the romantic stuff because I was busy plotting the thriller part, like who are the people behind the killing and what was their real intention.

I'm sorry for those who said to focus more on the romantic stuff. I really want to make the storyline like this so please don't bombard me with hate messages.

I mean, this is my story and I can do everything to it wherever my imagination leads me. And if you don't like my story then don't read it.
