After putting up a vector cover in my portfolio, a couple of you guys wanted a tutorial so here it is.

Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
Making vectors aren't that hard but they take a very long time to do so and require lots of patience. In this tutorial I'm using Picsart.
What you will need:
• A model png
• Any background, other than the actual cover where your vector will be placed. I recommend a solid colourTip: if you have an iPhone or iPad, enable the zoom feature in settings. This allows you to zoom in more and makes drawing details and edges easier.
Step 1
Create a white silhouette of your png and place it on the background. Check one of the previous chapters for a tutorial.
Step 2
Open it up in draw on PicsArt. This method also works in PicsArt Color.
Step 3In a new layer and add the original png directly over the white silhouette. Try your best to be accurate as possible.
Step 4Reduce the opacity of the original png layer to about half.
Step 5Start drawing the vector in a new layer. Use this brush.
Actually... just use whatever you feel comfortable with. The soft brush works too.
The layer order should be:
1) original png
2) vector
2.1) If you decide to draw in layers (optional, not necessary)3) white silhouette + background
Basically, your drawing layers need to be in the middle, between the background and original png.
As you can see in the gif below, as you draw, you can still see the original png. This makes creating vectors much easier as you can see exactly what you are doing and even add loads of little details, but you have to follow the layer order.
Step 6Click the eye thing on all layers but the one/s you've drawn in. This cancels out the other layers and creates a png of your vector.
Lastly save it!

Now you can place it on your cover, add text and edit it.
