Update: I now only use IbisPaint x to make pngs. It's much better and there are MANY brush options. The magic wand tool is also very useful. This tutorial still has some helpful tips so I suggest skimming through it.

Sup humanoids. Today I'll be showing you how to make a png.

There are loads available on Deviantart, Pinterest, etc and you can download ones you wanna use.

Yes it's that simple. But sometimes you may not find any you like or if you're looking for a celebrity that isn't very famous you may not find any good ones and maybe none at all. This is when making your own comes in. It's unbelievably easy. (lmao I'm tired so this doesn't make sense but anyway)

You will need:
- an app to make your png
- the picture you're using

I'll be using an app called MagicEraser.

I'm too sure about apps for android but if anyone has any good app suggestions then please leave em' here

I'll be using this picture. You can practice by making pngs out of images with plain or simple backgrounds like the one below.

Step 1

Step 1

Open up the image on the app and begin erasing the background.

See that little block with the grey and white grid? USE IT. As you can see, what I've erased is now white, you can change it to black or the grid pattern. It's helpful and you can make sure all of the background is erased and it is as neat as possible.

The little wand with the stars can erase portions of the same colour, it sometimes removes parts of the model. Although you can restore it, the edges tend to be grainy and pixelated but it's good when you need to remove large portions.

You can adjust the brush size, erase, restore what you've erased, etc

ZOOM IN. You final product will look much neater and professional. You can zoom in a lot so make use of it especially when cutting out little details. You'll have a smooth outline.

Step 3

Save it as a high quality png when you're done.

Viola! I rushed with this so it's not very clean but aim to be as neat as possible. It took me about 7 minutes.
