"Veronica, Brooke, you need to see this!"

The two girls rushed over, their interest growing as they spotted the pink diary that Sarah was holding. It had the name "Christine D" on it.

"Is this the new girl's diary?" Brooke questioned as she read the name.

"Hell yeah it is!" Sarah grinned. "Oh, and before you say, 'this is breaking the rules', I'm just gonna tell you this: It's not stealing, it's borrowing without her knowing! And she hasn't used it in years, so, I mean, we're doing this thing a favor." She stuck out her tongue.

Veronica motioned towards the book. "Well if it isn't breaking the rules, then read it! We don't have all day!"

"Alright, alright! Just give me a second.." Jacobs opened it to a random page, the smile growing wider. "Dear diary, I don't have much time to write today, since I'm going on a date with my boyfriend. Well, I think we're boyfriend and girlfriend. He hasn't-"

"Get to the juicy stuff!" The others requested.

She rolled her eyes. "Jeez..okay..." There was a small silence as she flipped through the book, but eventually found an entry that she was searching for. "Dear diary, my boyfriend was telling me about a 'phantom' of sorts. He said that it lived in the basement of the school. I know that this kind of thing is usually just a joke, but I've become obsessed with the thought of it.."

Suddenly, she stopped. They all looked at each other. And, somehow, they knew what the others were thinking.

With a swift grab, Ronnie had gotten hold of the book, and started reading where her friend left off. "Oh, how it thrills me! Thinking of what this phantom could be! And I hope that I can meet it soon. Maybe it's my angel!"

"Angel?" Brooke tilted her head to the side. "The hell does she mean? Also, who uses thrill?"

"I heard her talking about this Angel of Music in class today. Maybe that's it." Sarah joked, making a little ghost noise. Her friends elbowed her.

Veronica ignored them both, and continued reading. "I really wanna hear some more..so now I'm gonna go see the basement. Wish me luck! Sincerely, Chris D." She slammed the book shut. "Wow, she sure likes Mamma Mia, huh?"
