As Kara stepped out of the alleyway, she tried to avoid eye contact with everyone walking past her. She held Alice close to her, shielding her from people's vision and from the rain. She picked up an umbrella and held it up over their heads. Kara was able to sense everyone's suspicions, so she was beginning to feel nervous. Police officers and other workers from the police department searched everywhere, but weren't really searching well because Kara and Alice had yet to be spotted. They kept their heads low, trying to weave their way through the sidewalks to get to the train station. Kara could see another android follow an officer out of an automatic car.

How come some humans can tolerate androids. I don't understand this. Kara thought to herself. The android was scanning the area, surely her and Alice were about to be spotted. He turned to look in their direction, and she could hear him discussing their appearance with the man next to him.

"Connor, what was the model of the deviant again?"
"An AX400 Model, Lieutenant. I've scanned the area, it is definitely nearby. I'm locating its coordinates."

"Do what you have to do, just find it."

Kara quickly turned around, only to walk into an officer. She apologized and tried to pass through, but he recognized her model.

"The Deviant is over here!"

The man attempted to restrain her and Alice, but Kara shoved him out of her way and started running, holding Alice behind her. She looked behind her, revealing the android to be chasing after them. She turned back to face forward and continued running. They reached a fence, separating the main road from the highway. Kara picked Alice up and shoved her over the fence, afterwards scrambling up after her. The android reached her and grabbed her leg, prompting her to kick him. She made it over the fence, and the android began climbing up as well.

"Connor what the heck are you doing? Do not go after that deviant, that's an order!"

"I'm sorry lieutenant. I'm following my orders."

'Connor' climbed up the fence, following Kara and Alice. Kara picked Alice up and ran into the highway, dodging cars left and right. Connor bolted after her, leaping and sliding over cars as well. Once they all hopped over the divider, He grabbed by her arm, prompting her to drop Alice. She pushed her over to the end of the highway, where she jumped over the end divider, landing in grass. She continued kicking Connor, but with no avail. He restrained her and pushed her over to the grass, where Alice was being restrained by another officer.

"Let Kara go! Let me go!" She yelled, kicking and squirming.
"Alice, calm down. We're going to be fine, I promise you." Kara reassured, calmly.

Alice stopped crying loudly, as her and Kara were detained and put into the back of an automatic police vehicle. With the little room they had, Kara held her small hand as they were escorted back to Detroit's Police Station.

Meanwhile, in Hank's vehicle, he scolded Connor for his irresponsibility.

"What the Hell is wrong with you Connor! I gave you an order and you deliberately disobeyed. You could've gotten you, that deviant, and the little girl killed!" He grouched, glaring at Connor.

"I'm sorry lieutenant. I was just trying to accomplish my mission, which I did. It doesn't matter what could have happened, what matters is what did happen." Connor responded. "Forgive me for my haste." The car ride back to the station was spent in silence, with occasional muffled grunts from Hank.
