Leaving Kara in peace, Connor walked out of her interrogation room to head to where Alice was being questioned by Hank. He knocked on the door, prompting Hank to exit the room. He had a disturbed look on his face, giving Connor the impression that something was wrong.

"For a 9 year old girl, she's been through so much. Did you get anything out of the deviant?"

Connor nodded, and excused himself into the room with Alice. She immediately turned her attention toward him and showed a hint of fear, though after she spotted his LED, she calmed down. He sat down across the table from her, and gave a small smile.

"Hi there, my name is Connor, what's yours?" He inquired in a slightly chipper tone.

"A-Alice, it's Alice." She stuttered, nervous.

Still smiling, Connor continued. "How are you feeling? Would you like some food or a blanket and pillow to lay down on?"

Alice nodded. "I'm really tired and it's super cold in here."

"I'll be sure to get you some supplies to sleep comfortably. I have a couple of questions for you, okay?"

"Okay." She answers.

Connor stares down at the folder down on the table. It contained photographs of how Todd's body was found, and he was hoping that he wouldn't need to show Alice the gruesome pictures. "When was the first time your father brought Kara home?"

"About two months ago. He brought her back a few days ago."

Though he already knew, he wanted to clarify things. "Brought her back? Was she replaced?"

Alice paused for a second. "Yes. Daddy broke her two weeks ago."

"Broke her? What do you mean?" Connor asked.

"He threw her out of the window and kept kicking her when she tried to save me." She replied.

"Save you from what?" Was it the beatings she has supposedly endured? They'd need proof that Todd was in fact abusing Alice, for sure.

She rolled up her sleeves to reveal dark bruises all up and down her arms. The android was telling the truth, this poor girl was actually being beat by her own father!

"Whenever daddy takes his medicine, he gets really really angry. He starts throwing things and hurting me. Kara stepped in and protected me from getting hurt, but daddy threw her out. While she was gone, nobody was able to help out at the house, so daddy was very angry and would keep hitting me."

Connor, intrigued, tilted his head to the left slightly. "Is that what happened a few days ago? When you and Kara left?"

Alice nodded. "Yeah, Kara made dinner and daddy started yelling and throwing things. I ran upstairs and Kara grabbed the gun. When he started attacking us, she shot him, and then we ran out." She pauses again. "Did he die?"

She stares at Connor, who is looking at the pictures of Todd's corpse. He morbidly nods, feeling sorry she had to experience something probably incredibly traumatizing. Alice then stares down at the table.

"I don't understand why he hated me so much. I just wanted a life like the other girls."

Shocked, Connor looks at her, then thinks of something to attempt to reassure her. "He didn't hate you. His 'medicine' made him do it."

"Well why would he take his medicine if it made him not like me? Sometimes people would come outside with him and he'd give him some medicine, does that mean he's making other people not like people?" She answered.

If this 'medicine' Alice was referring to was actually Red-Ice, as Kara had implied, then Todd really was a bad person, taking and dealing Red-Ice, abusing his android, and even abusing his daughter.

"I guess so." Connor looked over at the clock, revealing that it was already 9 PM. "It's really late, do you want me to get you some blankets so you can go to sleep?"

"Yes please, thank you Connor." She replied, smiling at Connor, though the day must've been rough.

Connor exited the room and came back with a blanket for Alice. He directed her to sit on the bench next to him. She sat down at looked at Connor with wide eyes.

"Is Kara okay? Where is she?"

"In the other room, already sleeping." He quips. Connor prepares to leave the room before Alice asks him to wait.

"Connor... Can you stay in here with me? It's scary in here." She asks, nervous.

Smiling, Connor returns to her side, where she leans her head against his shoulder. He uses his LED to shut off the lights in the room and turns to Alice, who has already nearly fallen asleep. Her hand is slightly gripping his, and her breathing starts to slow. Relaxed, Connor closes his eyes and temporarily shuts down, essentially making it seem as though he was asleep as well.

While they slept, Hank entered the room searching for Connor. When he saw him sleeping with Alice leaning on him, he smiles, pulls out his phone and takes a picture. He exits, leaving them be.
