I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I groaned loudly and checked the time. I had just enough time to get ready AND eat breakfast. Perfect. I slowly got up and yawned.
"Good morning Anne. You should start getting ready for school, wouldn't want you to be late on your last day! Come on sweetheart, don't be like this, cheer yourself up!" Marilla said, who now stood outside my room, facing me.
I love Marilla and Matthew dearly, but as a teenager, sometimes I can't stand them. Escpecially during my "womanly flowering" days, as Marilla says.
"Ugh Marilla you know how much I appreciate your joyful spirit, but it's literally 6:30am in the morning and I just woke up. Give me sometime please" I said as calmly as I could. Marilla simply nodded giving me sincere smile and went downstairs to make us all breakfast.
I went to the bathroom and I washed my face and teeth. Then I went back to my room and searched for a comfy outfit. I decided to wear a grey T-shirt with a cat and a cactus, some nike knee-length leggings and my white superstar. Then, being true to the lazy person I am, I just put my hair in a messy bun.

The exact same time I picked my bag to head downstairs, Marilla told me to hurry before my breakfast gets cold. I practically rushed to the kitchen and sat down smiling.
"Oh Marilla I'm ever so happy! I don't know how to thank you for letting me go to Avonlea with the girls for the summer! It'll be so so much fun!" I told Marilla before taking a bite off my toast hurriedly. She just laughed and stroked my back.
After I finished my breakfast, I kissed Marilla's cheek and gave her a hug.
"Tell Matthew I said bye!!" I said as I closed the front door.
After a 10 minute long walk, I finally reached school. I immediately spotted my friends in the crowd full of nervous students. We talked for a while before the bell rang. Then we all headed to our examination's classroom.
TIME SKIP~AFTER THE EXAM
"WOOHOOO" Diana shouted as we exited the schools building.
"FREEDOM BITCHES" Josie exclaimed, making me chuckle.
"It's finally over! I can't believe we're going on 9th grade next year like, oh my god" Ruby said.
"Mee neither. I mean, look at us, we all look and act like 5 year olds" Jane said and we all laughed.
"Now let the summer begin!!" Tillie said and we all started jumping and screaming down the road.

"Y'all we'll be leaving tomorrow at 12pm, have you packed your things?" Diana asked while I was trying to find a movie on Netflix for us to watch.
"I'll do it tonight cause I had to do some laundry.. How about 'Narnia' ?" I asked, never taking my eyes off the screen.
"I did it yesterday after we talked.. Also, Anne we've watched this movie over than a million times" Ruby said as she came in the room, bags of chips and popcorn in her arms.
"I'll do it tomorrow morning cause my mother washed my favorite T-shirt this morning and it's still wet!" Jane said plopping on the couch, Tillie following close behind.
"I did it today before school." Tillie said and we all looked at her as if she was some crazy person. "What? I woke up at 4am, lol" She added and we all laughed.
"Jeez Tillie how are your eyes still open?" Josie asked and our laughter got even louder.
After a couple of minutes, we decided we'd watch friends, a safe choice for sure. Some hours passed and I got a text from Marilla saying I should get home. I hugged the girls and took my stuff to go home.
"Byeee, see you all tomorrow!" I exclaimed when I reached the door and they all said 'byeeee' in unison.

~DIANAS POV~
After Anne left we watched some more episodes of friends and then we decided to talk for a bit.
"So, Diana, do you have any relatives in Avonlea that are close to our age?" Ruby asked and chewed a popcorn.
"Yeah I do" I said.
"Any MALE ones?" Ruby added and we all laughed.
"Actually, yes. My cousin, Gilbert Blythe. He lives in Avonlea and he's our age. I haven't seen him in forever, so I can't tell you lots about him. I only know his dad passed away 2 years ago, but he's handling it pretty well. I'm really looking forward on seeing him after all those years" I said smiling.
"Oh me too!!" Ruby said excitedly and we laughed again.
"Y'all I love how Anne hasn't had either her first kiss or relationship yet" Josie randomly confessed.
"Yeah, me too. I think it's sweet, she's waiting for someone as mature as she is. I'm just sad. I mean, there aren't that many people as special as Anne is out there." Tillie added.
"That's so true tho. But I'm sure Anne will find true love. I mean, wouldn't it be ironic for someone so obsessed with true love to never find it?" Jane said.
"You guys, any boy will be lucky to have Anne in their life in any way. She will find the one she wants to be with sooner or later, but that's for her to find out. I just hope she will let him in. You know how she can be.." I said.
"I agree. She's so smart but simultaneously so oblivious and stubborn!" Ruby said, slightly chuckling at the thought of her lovely, passionate friend. They all laughed. Soon, silence filled the room as each girl thought of the summer awaiting for them.
