Chapter Two
"Guys! Do you remember how I bet my sister's boyfriend would dump her sorry ass after a month?" Anna asked as we walked through the hallways. She is not a bad person, nor does she hate her sister, but she does rely very little trust on her sister's relationship durance.
"Clearly." Angelina confirmed.
"Well, they are getting married in a month." Anna rolled her eyes.
"NO WAY!" I exclaimed.
Anna's and Lola's sister left two years ago to Mississippi after she graduated from Stanford, which is by the way the university to which every member of her family is expected to attend. Anna's brother, Jordan, started last year and his sisters are to attend in two years. Elle is currently twenty- six. Already a lawyer; she got a boyfriend only a month ago and Anna was so sure they were the biggest opposing poles that she bet their relationship would last no more than a month. I didn't expect them to get married after a month of dating, hence the shock. Although I have to admit that Elle is more than able to tame a boy in thirty- one days. I mean, she is gorgeous and smart plus, her personality is so smooth that everybody easily becomes her friend. I'm personally included in that group of people; I just love her so much. I remember her giving me extra help whenever I couldn't learn a dance, or going shopping with me whenever my mom was too busy at work.
Anna threw her hands in the air dramatically as always. "I know right, she is crazy! Who gets married based on such a short relationship? But then again, we are talking about Elle, nothing about her makes sense. Anyways, can you believe she refused my kind suggestion to wear a pink dress for the wedding? She told me it's because white represents purity but, I mean, we all know she is far from pure." She shrugged. Percy nearly choked on the gum he had been chewing at her bluntness. Lola only rolled her eyes already used to her sister.
"I'm so very happy for Elle! I wish I could congratulate her in person." I said.
"Then do it, you can slash have to come over today after school. Well y'all need to come because my sister chose you as her bridesmaids, and she wants to explain to you how everything is gonna work."
"What? Really?" Angelina and I asked at the same time.
"Wait, everything?" I asked unsure of what that meant.
"Yeah, the schedule and all of that." Anna replied.
"Schedule?" Once again we asked.
"Yes schedule for dance practice, dress fitting..." She trailed off. "She wants a set of choreographies performed by the wedding party which means bridesmaids and groomsmen. The dresses are going to be designed especially for her and she wants you to give your opinions so yeah, it's gonna take time."
"This is gonna be so exciting!" Angelina chirped with enthusiasm.
"I knoow!" I sing-sang and raised my hand to high-five with her.
Angelina twirled around to face me in order to clasp her hand with mind. Though, as soon as she started walking backwards, a tall muscular body clashed into her unexpectedly.
As a result, all of us to turned our attention to Angelina who stumbled to stay on her feet. Then, a pair of glistening blue eyes picked up my line of view.
What?
Is that Jake?
He goes to this school?
"Sorry." Jake mumbled simply, and continued his way not sparing a second glance.
"Such a Jerk." Angelina spat remorsefully.
"What? How can you know that?" Lola was suddenly enthralled in our conversation as she opened the doors to the cafeteria.
