The smoke continues to lengthen as Linda and Jason Silver navigate through the flames while going up the stairs to find their two children, their eleven-year-old daughter, Ari and their six-year-old son, Jared. As he navigates through the black smoke, Jason hears Ari screaming from the distance. Hearing her cries for help, Jason emits his echo whine. Then, the light blue sound wave hit Ari's door. The door is blocked with two large pieces of burning wood. Jason placed his hands on one of the burning wood and push really hard.
"Ari, Jared, you okay?" he yelled
Jared embraced Ari tighter as they watched the smoke getting higher. "We're okay", yelled Ari. After removing the wood, Jason tries to break down the door and it finally opens. Ari and Jared opened their eyes. "Come on, quickly", he yelled. The children hold hands as they escape through the blaze and smoke. Jason grabbed Ari's hand and led the children downstairs where Linda is waiting until a shadowy figure grabs his leg. Ari quickly turned around and saw a figure that looked like a giant bat.
Jason turned to the now frightened Ari.
"Run Ari! Go with your mother", he yelled. Ari's body turned into lead and she wasn't unable to move. "Now Ari! Run!" Jason yelled. Linda grabbed Ari's wrist and led her and Jared out of the house, leaving Jason disappearing in the flames. Then, she turned back to the house and saw the flames building up inside.
"Mommy, what's happening", whimpered Jared. Linda can hear the flames roaring in her ears and it scared the children. Fearing for their safety, Linda turns to Ari and squeezed both of her shoulders.
"Okay, listen to me. Both of you. I want you to run over to Sarah's okay?", she asked.
Linda took off her double heart shaped aquamarine pendant that is connected to a silver chain and gave it to Ari.
"Run over to Sarah's, and tell her we need help, you got that?", she said.
Tears fell down on Ari's cheeks and Linda tenderly touches her shaken hands.
"Ariana, look at me", she said.
Ari lifted her chin to look at Linda's serious yet compassionate face. "It's gonna be okay, I promise", said Linda as she gently swept her tears while kissing her forehead. Then, she put her pendant on Ari's neck. Suddenly, the sound of an explosion appeared and it made Ari scream. Linda quickly turned around and saw the house completely ablaze. She quickly turned back to the children.
"Go! Run!", she yelled.
The children got up and started running. Dozens of neighbors opened their doors and saw the Slivers' burning house disappearing in the smoke. Their expressions was a mixture of shock and confusion as they watch the flames glow extremely bright. Then, they saw Ari and Jared running.
"Hey, is that Mrs. Silver?", asked a man who is about to call the fire department. Ari and Jared stopped and saw Linda standing behind the house while giving them a sorrowful face. Then, she ran back inside as she disappears in the flames. Jared ran toward Ari and quickly embraced her.
As he squeezed Ari's waist tighter, a heartbroken Ari watched as the fire department arrives and extinguishes the flames. More tears fell down on her cheeks as she grasped on her mother's pendant very tightly. She'll never forget the night when she lost both of her parents in a sad, tragic fire.
