maddy sighed heavily, the last thing she wanted to do was go to school. but she found herself stripping from her pyjamas and getting into the shower.
"i don't want to go~" she whined as the hot water dampened her hair. she made her shower quick so she had more then enough time to get ready.
following her daily routine, she straightened her hair and applied makeup. she went back into her room to change for school, the weather was already getting colder so she threw on a pair of black leggings and a white long sleeve shirt.
"can i take the car today?" maddy asked her mom at breakfast.
"sure, the keys are in my room. please drive safe." she smiled leaving for work.
maddy nodded and brought her breakfast plate over to the kitchen sink she set it down and grabbed her bag.
"okay," she whispered to herself as she grabbed her car keys, "it's just another school day. you'll be fine," she took a deep breath and headed out the door.
maddy threw her bag in the car seat next to her and pulled out of the driveway. she held a stern face, most people would refer to it as a resting bitch face, but she preferred strict.
maddy pulled up to the school building and got out of her car. "hey there depresso bean," donghyuck tugged at maddy's sleeve.
"hey hyuckie," maddy replied ruffling donghyuck's hair as she usually did. he glared at maddy and fixed his hair do it was back to its normal style.
"i'm switching into your third period," donghyuck smiled brightly.
maddy smiled back, "wait really?" she asked, now excited.
"yeah! i'll see you in english dummy." donghyuck nudged maddy and walked in the opposite direction, towards his locker.
maddy laughed as she watched donghyuck run down the busy hall. she shook her head and walked into her home room and sat in her seat.
vernon walked in a few minutes after, he looked at maddy as she finished her homework from the night before. he smiled and walked up to the open seat next her.
"i'm surprised," he said after a few minutes, "i never thought someone like you would be doing their homework in homeroom," he laughed peering over maddy's shoulder.
"well people are full of surprises, aren't they?" maddy laughed, continuing to finish the problems on her paper.
the bell had rung and the class all left to go to their first period. maddy collected her books and walked out the door, donghyuck greeted her by her locker.
"hi," he smiled cutely.
"hi," maddy mimicked donghyuck. "are you walking me to my class or are you just going to make me late?"
"i can do both," donghyuck laughed and started longingly at maddy, who didn't seem to notice.
vernon walked around the corner and saw maddy standing by her locker, her mouth upward in a smiling state. he smiled to himself, her happiness was radiating onto vernon. he continued to turn the corner a little more, but then his smile quickly faded.
maddy was standing with him the one she was out at the theatre with. he walked by the two friends, making his steps loud and noticeable.
maddy looked behind her and watched as vernon drowned in the sea of people. she shrugged her shoulders and started walking to class. "i'll see you in third period. don't be late dweeb." maddy flicked the back of donghyucks head and scolded him about being late.
