maddy groaned as her alarm filled her room, she slammed her finger down on the snooze button and rolled over in her bed.

the alarm went off for a second time and this time maddy sat up in her bed and grabbed her phone checking how
much time she wasted.

she got her usual "good morning" text from vernon, which she for the first time, ignored. she hastily pulled herself out of bed and went to get changed for school.

maddy decided on a simple outfit, which was ripped jeans, a black t-shirt, and a black and white flannel tied around her waist. she applied a small amount of make up to her face and let her hair fall a little past her shoulders. she forced a small smile on her face and began packing her bag for school.

maddy collected her binders and finally she grabbed her phone which was blown up with notifications with the one and only, vernon chwe.  she rolled her eyes at his persistence when it came to messaging her.

maddy rolled her eyes again, and shoved her phone into her back pocket. after that she jammed her feet into her vans and ran down the stairs to eat breakfast. she ate quickly and ran out the door to catch the school bus.

she settled on the bus seat and plugged in her ear buds blocking out everyone and entering her own world. the school came i to view and maddy took a deep breath and got herself mentally prepared for the school day.

the doors swung open and maddy hopped up and walked out the door and down the walkway to the school building. she walked right into her homeroom and sat down. she didn't have homeroom with vernon which made her happy. she was able to relax a little bit before all the glares from girls and stares from vernon started.

all was well until 5 minutes into homeroom the door swung open catching the attention of nearly everyone in the classroom. and in walked the one and only, vernon chwe.

"mister chwe, already late and you haven't even started in this homeroom," the teacher said crossing his arms and staring coldly at vernon.

vernon shrugged and whispered a small,"sorry" which was obviously not sincere.

"well, i guess pick where you want to sit, i could care less," the teacher rolled his eyes and sat back down at his desk and immediately started back up his work.

maddy watched vernon's eye roam the classroom and as soon as his eyes landed on maddy his lips turned upwards in a smirking way. maddy shook her head and glared at him as if to say, "don't you dare".

but within seconds vernon was walking back to where maddy sat,"move," he told
the boy that sat next to maddy.

"no, i was sitting here first," he protested.

"you really want to argue this?" vernon said with cold eyes. the boy gulped and collected his things moving to another open seat. "you really are an asshole," maddy whispered to vernon as he settled in the seat.
