"You're a weird girl, you know that?" Alec said, tussling Aria's long, white hair. "Not many people have that sort of ability,"

She slapped his hand way, pouting. Obviously not wanting to be treated like a child. "You're saying I'm not normal?"

"Nobody's normal," Alec said as they continued walking down the street, exercising after filling up their bellies. Everywhere he looked, people were rampaging through the streets, searching for that boy from earlier.

Alec couldn't help but grin. It was pretty funny how a boy outsmarted so many adults.

But Aria had a strange ability. That's for sure. It was there when they first met, that strange aura she carries around with her. Mysterious on the outside, but a child within. But now that they've gotten closer, Alec realized that she wasn't that short, he as slightly a head bigger then her to be exact.

She wasn't that young. Maybe she isn't the 10 year old she appeared to be? Alec was quite tall, at 5'10, too for a 19 year old man. If he rounded more, Aria should be at about 5'4 or so. Who knows about age? Maybe 14 or 15?

Alec turned around to look at the person in question, but she wasn't there anymore.

He lost her.

***********

Pulled into an alleyway and pinned to a wall. Aria struggled against the person who pinned her down against the wall. Her mouth was covered with a hand, and she couldn't see the perpetrator's face. She couldn't scream, couldn't call for Alec, who has no idea where she is. Who was attacking her?

But that feeling rose again in the middle of her chest, engulfing her in a silver light that no one else can see.

She bit the hand covering her mouth. The person flung the hand away, and she was given the moment to speak. "You are that boy, from the bar," She said quickly before the moment was lost.

The struggling stopped, and she looked up him, at the boy who's face she cannot see due to the cloak.

"Yes, I'm the boy," He said softly. He didn't move away, she was still pinned onto the wall in a place no one can see her.

"Why did you kidnap me?" She asked. "Alec, he must be worried by now," The boy knew who she was talking about. But paid no attention to that small detail.

"How did you know?" He asked. "That I was the thief? No one knows my face, my name, I thought I was doing everything correctly!"

"I thought I was safe," He whispered, barely audible.

She looked up at the boy. "I'm different, I'm strange," She replied.

He chuckled at her words. "If that's the case, I might have to kill you, he said to her. She felt a shiver down her spine, she was sure he was glaring at her with those pale, blue eyes, even though she can't see his face. "No one should know about me, after all,"

But something was strange, this boy. "You are lonely," She told him.

"What?"

"You feel like an outsider in this world, and you don't know how to escape that feeling of suffering. You've lost everyone, your family, yet you still want to survive and live on,"

"Shut up," He said, angrily slamming his face on the wall behind her. "You don't know anything,"

"I do, because I'm just like you," she finished. And she could see it. He let his guard down just enough for her to see his face. His light, blond hair, tied into a small ponytail. His blue eyes, almost white, like magic. And she could see...

Ears.

They were abnormal, very long. As if he was a different species. No, he was! He was...

She made a note of that.

The boy gasped and stepped back, realizing his mistake. He quickly adjusted the hood, covering up all of his face once again. A portal, a teleporting portal came up from under his feet. He was fleeing.

"I am Dane, boy archer. Don't forget that, because his isn't over,"

And he disappeared. His words were left lingering on the narrow walls, and then everything was quiet. She stepped out of the alleyway, and spotted Alec.

He turned and looked at her. He was panting breathlessly. Searching for her? He ran up to her and grabbed her by her shoulders. His head hung low, he looked exhausted.

"Where...did you go?" Alec asked, breathing in between every word, a hurt look on his face.

"I can explain," Aria told him, giving him support to hold him up. "I met the boy from earlier,"

"And? What did he do to you?" Alec asked, starting to look for bruises on her body. He noticed red on her wrists, as if squeezed hard.

"He threatened me a little," Aria said, holding up her hand for him to see, which he grabbed, staring with wide, concerned eyes. "But that doesn't matter right now," She took a big breath and continued.

"I want to save him,"

***********

There was a man walking down the alleyway. He looked drunk, wobbling slowly. At the rate they were going at, it'd be simple to take all their things. He aimed his bow carefully at the target's backpack.

He shot his bow.

He strikes once again.

As expected, they ran away running, didn't even try to reclaim their stuff. Dane swoops down from the top of a building and starts picking up the things he dropped. Most of it was junk, but some of this could be useful.

This was the life of a thief. And although deep inside he knew it was wrong, he had to survive.

For them.

Footsteps came from behind, and he was in plain sight. He cautiously turned his head around, and there she was.

It was that girl again. And the man was with her too. So they found each other afterwards....

"I see you found me again," Dane said, staring at her. She nodded in reply, not saying a word. He had to make sure that his dark spell could cover his face, that they couldn't notice. Though it's possible everyone already knows.

"And why have you come here?" He asked. "That's like a death wish,"

The girl stared at Dane for a while. She then smiled at him. A wide smile, without any sign of sorrow, of fright.

"Wanna get something to eat?"
