"Dane, I know what you're thinking, and I definitely won't let you kill that man," Aria said strictly. The leader gave the three of them a room in the house that night after they feasted. Dane laid in his bed at the very left, staring up at Aria who came over from her side in the right, and started crawling on top of him.

"I won't do anything," Dane said, trying to sound convincing.

"Liar," Alec said, from under his covers. He rolled over to his left to face Dane, since he was in the middle. "I saw that look in your eyes. It looked like you were ready to kill at any moment. Can you really say that you won't attack that man?"

"What do you think I will do?" Dane asked. "If you were in my place, would you forgive him for leaving you homeless as a child? Could you easily forgive him for what he's done?"

"I know I would," Aria said. "I will forgive anyone, no matter how bad,"

"It's not that easy, Aria," Dane said softly, touching her cheek with a sad look on his face. "It's not that easy when you've suffered so much,"

After that, Alec scolded Aria and put her in bed, leaving Dane awake for the night. He knew his decision, and it would take effect in the morning.

Dane was the first to awaken the next morning. He got dressed, and covered himself with his signature green hood, the came down to the dining room, where he found the leader sitting in the same spot he was in yesterday. The leader turned and nodded at Dane when he heard footsteps. Dane nodded back.

"What's your name?" Dane asked. The man who lead the war was a quiet fellow. And as Dane expected, he didn't answer right away.

"Benjiro," he replied slowly. Then looking Dane straight in the eye he repeated himself. "Benjiro,"

It gave Dane a slight chill. This man seemed so focused, confident and mature. Dane didn't like it one bit. His looks matched his personality too. He was tall, taller then Alec. His hair was black, short and spiky, and had blue eyes, like Aria. He wore dark garments, like yesterday, and the day before that, too.

"Ah, Benjiro then," Dane said. He sat down next to him and studied his face while faking a smile. "Would you tell me about the war you fought in? The war with the elves that you were so victorious in. I'd love to know more,"

Dane expected the man to start blabbing about his victory, and he would enjoy it. Watching the man brag about how he killed his family, how he didn't experience the agony that Dane did.

But unexpectedly, Benjiro had a painfully stricken look on his face once Dane mentioned the war. He averted his eyes from Dane. "I don't want to talk about it... go ask someone else,"

Dane felt a rising anger in the pit of his stomach. He stood up and started walking back up to his room. "What was that look on his face?" Dane thought to himself. "He won the war, what pain did he have that could compare to mine?"

Aria and Alec were sitting in the room awaiting for Dane's return. "I'm telling you," Aria said. "It's not a good idea to kill him,"

"It's not like he will suffer," Dane said, feeling betrayed. "He's lived a happy life knowing he killed my family and won the war,"

Alec stood up and pulled Aria along with him. "You do know there are many other sufferings in the world, you're not the only one," Alec pulled Aria out the room with him, leaving Dane at the doorway.

He wanted to scream at the world.

That night he laid in bed thinking over and over again. Had he really made his decision? He has. He snuck out of bed and carefully stepped out of the room taking his bow and arrows with him. He was going to kill him. He was going go avenge his family.
