It was now very dark and ghostly shadows were everywhere. It seemed as if the shadows had taken everything in the room. She turned around to the entrance of the room and noticed something that she had never even realised was there. a small, arched groove in the wall near the steps. It was about fifteen cm deep and had a little ledge-like, flat base. On it was a thin, red vase with a black rose in it. Ella walked over to the vase and inspected it. Something seemed weird about it but she didn't know what.
She lifted it up to find a small button that looked a bit like a rock but she knew it was a button because it had a piece of plastic covering it so that it won't be touched. Of course Ella pushed it but it was what happened next that surprised her the most.
Ella knew something weird was going to happen, they were in an underground play house, but she didn't know there was yet another story of the underground den she was currently in. The floor suddenly tilted down and then stopped when the two chains holding it were completely pulled down. Ella shined her torch down into the dark but she didn't find another room. She found a long, dark tunnel, covered with cobwebs. She couldn't see the end of it so she went down.
As she walked, she was constantly scared that she was going to run into something because her torch was running out of battery and she couldn't see any more than a couple of metres ahead. After a couple of minutes, she found a door on the left-hand side of the tunnel that had scratch marks all over it. She continued another couple of steps and noticed that the tunnel, wasn't a tunnel. It was a hallway. It stretched down hundreds of metres in length. This must be some secret hideout for vampires. 'Was this place Hannah's home or did she just get trapped here? She said that she lived with her adoptive family but if that's right, then do they live here or somewhere else? Where else would they live.' Thoughts swirled around Ella's head making her dizzy. Then she fainted************
