She tried to hurry back to the house, feeling her way around the bushes, rocks and trees. Finally, after a while, she saw her house. She ran up to the outside wall of her bedroom and pushed a log over to the window and stood up on it. She scrambled, head first through her window and onto her bed as fast and as quietly as possible. As she was sliding her legs through, she scratched her knee on the rusty, metal window frame. She tried to ignore the pain and flopped her entire body on to her bed, hugging her sore knee.
"Tip tap tip" her dad was coming down the hall. Lucky her door was closed but she didn't want to take any risks. Silently, she threw the covers over her body and did one of her best 'sleeping' acts. Luckily she did because her dad came to check on her merely a few seconds later, kissing her on the cheek "see ya later" he whispered. After that, he left her alone, to fall asleep- for real.
Ella had a nice sleep-in the next morning, she was dead asleep until past 10:00. When she finally got up, she had a shower for like half an hour, her knee constantly stinging with the water and soap. She regretted getting out to a cold, bathroom floor and old towel that was hard in some parts. It was only then she realised how bad her knee actually was.
She got dressed into a blue, short sleeve shirt and short black skirt, not too short though. (Yuck! I wouldn't be seen dead in a skirt-true). She walked out to an empty house. Everyone was gone, for a second, she got a bit worried but then she saw her mum out in the garden and calmed down. She went out to say hi.
