david and i are randomly walking around target when he gets a phone call from jonah

"okay, yeah. bye" david says before hanging up and looking at me "so apparently he did something and wants me to vlog it"

"that can't be good"

he shrugs "it's jonah, how bad could it really be?"

"okay, look now" jonah says

i open my eyes, my mouth falling open as i see jonah's mini van in david's living room

david laughs lightly, because the vlog is still on, making a few jokes before eventually turning it off

as soon as he does, his smile drops

and jonah's face turns white

"dude, that was not cool" david says, trying to remain calm

"i'm sorry. i just thought it would be funny"

"it's not. your car is filthy. you scuffed my floors. you ruined my five thousand dollar rug. just- it's-it's" his voice grows louder as he grows more and more mad

i place my hand on david's arm, trying to grab his attention

he looks at me, his face softening

"it can be fixed" i say

he sighs, nodding

"jonah, how about you move your car out and go home. we'll figure this all out later" i suggest

he nods quickly, jumping into the mini van and backing out with the help of my directions

once he's gone, i call the same workers that jonah called and ask them to re-attach the doors

they say they'll be here in a few minutes, just waiting for the call from jonah

i take david's hand, leading him to his room

"just chill out in here and take a nap or something while i fix this, okay?"

"no, i don't- you shouldn't be cleaning up that mess" he argues

i smile "it's fine. i want to"

he sighs, collapsing on his bed

i knew he was exhausted, which is why he got so mad at jonah

i kiss his forehead, putting a smile on his face as i walk out of his room, closing the door

i straighten out the rug, seeing two large tire tread marks

i call a place that i know delivers rented carpet cleaners, only twenty bucks

as soon as they deliver, i get to work

about an hour later, someone picks up the carpet cleaner as i am finishing straightening up the couches on the rug
