i'm officially moved into david's house, i guess it's kind of mine too

no one knows yet, except for mariah and heath, who helped us with the moving

nothing looks that different in the main areas

i put all my furniture in storage for now and my apartment was up for lease, coincidentally so i didn't have to worry about that

only two things look different: 
david's closet, which now holds my clothes and shoes
and an extra bedroom in his house, which was vacant, now has a bookcase that covers the wall, holding all my books

i told him that he didn't have to, but he insisted, and now it just is

today, david invited everyone over to hang out and have a mini party, as christmas is right around the corner

i suggested a secret santa and david thought it was a good idea

right now, i'm writing down everyone's names as i throw them into a container

"hey babe" i say

he walks over to me "yeah?"

"are we inviting trish and jason?"

he shrugs "i like trish, plus it's the season to be nice, so yeah"

i laugh, kissing his cheek "you're cute"

he playfully rolls his eyes "whatever you say babe"

i smile to myself as i continue writing down everyone's names

after going to everyone's individual houses and having them pick out a name, there's only two left

i pick on, opening it and reading 'david'

my eyes widen as i immediately think 'what am i suppose to get a guy who already has everything he wants?'

i look up at him, seeing him studying me

i smile "get someone good?"

he shrugs "eh, what about you?"

i let out a breath "definitely a challenge"

he smiles "should we go to the grove and split up?"

i shake my head "i need to drive myself so i can keep it hidden, you peaker"

he puts his hands up in defense "i don't like surprises"

i smile, reaching up on my tippy toes to kiss his lips "but that's what christmas is all about, baby"

you open the present and guess who gave it to you, if you guess wrong, you have to wait until the end to find out who your secret santa was
