i'm cleaning up the house when i get a phone call

the caller id reads 'josh'

i answer it, putting it on speaker

"what's up joshy?"

"y/n" he says, frantically "it's david. we need you here, now"

"where are you?" i ask

"scott's house"

"i'll be there in a few minutes"

"okay, please hurry, but keep yourself safe at the same time"

"i will, bye"

and with that, i hang up, grabbing my keys as i run out the door and to my car

i sloppily park my car before running into the house, as the door is always unlocked during the day

i run past everyone that is gathered near the bathroom door

"what happened?" i ask josh, as he seems the most calm

"jason tried to get david to lay on the floor, blindfolded. david start pacing, saying he couldn't and freaked out. jason wouldn't stop pestering him and david eventually locked himself in the bathroom"

i nod "okay, can everyone just back up, now? i can handle it, but not if you are all standing outside the door"

they all nod, backing up and spiting up into different rooms

"david, baby, it's me" i say

i hear a muffled "y/n?"

"yes baby, let me in" i plead

i hear a click, immediately reaching for the handle and turning it

the door opens easily as i slip in, locking it again

i see david sitting against the tub with his knees pulled to his chest

his body shaking, his eyes red and puffy, and his face soaking wet

"baby" i whisper, kneeling down in front of him

he straightens out his legs, allowing me to straddle his lap

i place a kiss to his salty lips before wrapping my arms around him

he hides his damp face in the crook of my neck as his arms wrap around me, tightly

i rub his back and play with his hair as his body start to slowly shake less

once he's completely calm, he lifts his head up, looking at me

i wipe away his tears with my thumbs, before reaching up to kiss his forehead, then his nose, then his lips, making him smile

i smile too "what happened, baby?"

"jason kept trying to force me into a blindfold, calling be a hypocrite for doing it to other people, but not doing it myself and i tried to say how i haven't done it for a while because i realized how badly everyone reacted to it, but he wouldn't listen and kept screaming and i just shut down" he mumbles, looking down at his hands that rest in his lap
