Izzy's P.O.V
I'm in science sitting next to Ekkia. Mr Maguarey is giving us strange looks, we aren't doing anything wrong and I can't remember offending him so why is he staring at us like that? he is also giving Ryan a weird look though I don't blame him he is loud. my eyes start to water and the suffocating smell of smoke fills my nostrils then the piercing alarm sounds. The school is on fire. at first everyone thought it was a false alarm, smiles broke out until they smelt the smoke and saw the flames flickering ever closer. panic set in, screams, crying and a stampede of people rushing to get out of a tiny door. the teachers instructions were completely ignored and even more screams rang out as the students realised the only escape was blocked by fire. the only people not panicking were Ekkia, Ryan and myself it just felt like we'd been through worse. Mr Maguarey gave us a panicked yet expectant look.
"Do something!!" he screamed at us
"What?" Ekkia said looking at him like he was insane
"What do you expect us to do?" I yelled back at him
He said nothing just stared at us and turned back to the panicked teenagers. I couldn't take much more of this so I grabbed a chair and walked over to the window. I lifted the chair and smashed it at the window, it rebounded and made a loud cracking sound. the noise caused the others to turn and look at me, my anger rising I hit the window again causing it to smash into a thousand pieces. Everyone stopped screaming and looked at me.
"Out the window" I told them pushing out the last pieces of glass.
They scrambled to get out the window and one by one they dropped to the balcony below, I waited until everyone but Mr Maguarey was out before dropping onto the balcony and down the tree onto the ground. Around me the others gathered looking at the destruction, it seemed that almost every building in the school had been burnt down, once Mr Maguarey was down we all raced to the oval where the rest of the school had gathered.
"What now?" Ekkia asked
