Izzy's P.O.V

Ekkia and I saw Julia, Isabella and Sophie standing watching the fire ravage the school. we ran over to them excited and worried at the same.

"Are you all ok?" I asked genuinely worried

"Yeah we were in art when it started" Isabella explained. I watched her pretty brown curls bounce up and down as she talked and watched her big brown eyes scan everybody's faces.

"Do you know what caused it?" Sophie asked

"No idea" I said "we were in science when it happened"

Julia gasped "you were upstairs? how'd you get out?"

"I broke a window" I laughed nervously trying to lighten up the mood. nobody else smiled.

Teachers frantically gathered up students and ran around trying to find out if everyone was here. I sighed it was going to be a long night and already I could feel a migraine coming.

It was 5:00pm by the time I finally got home, my head hurt painfully and all I wanted to do was sleep.

"Thank God you're ok" mum said

"Mmmm" I replied tiredly

I opened the car door and went into the house only to be greeted by my younger sister.

"Oh you're still alive" Charlotte snapped at me pure hatred in her voice. she was an evil little thing with dark blonde hair cut into a bob, dirty brown eyes and tanned skin. I ignored her and scooped up my baby brother Vincent. he was only 1 and a half, with blonde curly hair and big blue eyes he was such a cute little thing.

"How was your day?" I cooed at him kissing his soft hair

"No, no, no, no" he babbled saying his favourite new word

"It wasn't" I gasped in mock horror putting him down. he giggled and stumbled off to go watch some T.V. Charlotte glared at me and hissed spitefully before storming off to her room.

"I'm having a shower and going to bed" I called to my mum who gave a reply I couldn't hear.

I left and had a shower that lasted 30 minutes way longer then it should have. I only got out because mum yelled at me. I didn't even dry my hair before snuggling down into my soft bed and falling into a deep and peaceful sleep.

"Get up!" Charlotte yelled in my ear causing me to wake up.

"Why?" I grumbled sleepily refusing to open my eyes

"Mum wants to tell you something and its dinner" she muttered

Slowly I got up wiping the sleep out of my eyes and trying unsuccessfully to tidy my hair. mum was waiting at the kitchen table with my stepdad Al and Charlotte, Vincent sat in his high chair eating some mash potato. Plates with steak and chips were laid out and I sat down and started digging into the juicy meat.

"We got a call from your school" mum started

"Yep" I said not really caring

"Well until your school has been rebuilt" she continued "they've found you a place at another high school. you won't be alone apparently Ryan, Fletcher, Jackson, Ekkia, Julia, Sophie and Isabella have been relocated to the same school as you"

"Really?" I said through a mouthful of steak "what's the school called?"

"Deadhill High" she replied after a moments pause

"Oh" was all I could say
