And just like that the light returned and there was not a sign of danger anywhere. cautiously I walked towards the glowing item. it was a spade, one of those spades that could fold up neatly and fit in a bag. I grabbed it in all its glory and chucked it into my bag. I turned around slowly expecting a horrible monster but there was nothing. was that voice a warning, a clue or a threat? I shivered despite the humid air and walked quickly out of that dreaded building and was thankful for the soft breeze that was blowing outside. I blinked a couple times, my eyes slowly adjusting to the weak light outside. I checked my watch, time seemed to be slower here and saw that I still had a couple hours left before I had to meet the others. I shrugged and continued on my way looking for life. as I walked I let my mind wander, I thought about the others. were they all right? did they experience the same thing as me? were they having any luck? I chewed nervously on my bottom lip but continued on my way pushing all the thoughts out of my head and just concentrated on finding life.
