Lapidot P.1 (Lapis x Peridot)

(How do you guys like these so far? Also if you have any requests I gotchu. I'm not the best at writing but I love to write <3 )

(SPOILERS)

*Lapis's POV*

I really like it here with Peridot. It's nice being somewhere where i'm free to do anything I want. Being able to fly where ever and do whatever. Steven and the others have been so nice to me and Peridot has been doing everything she can to help me be comfortable.. She started the farm and made us a mini-lake in the front yard. She let me do whatever I wanted to the barn. I wish..I wish I could just be happy. I have every reason to be...I mean what happened with Jasper..

It's in the past but why can't I stop thinking about it!!

"Uhm..Lazuli?" A familliar voice questions.

"Huh? Oh..hi Peridot.." I say quickly wiping the tears away from my eyes.

"Are you...doing alright there?" she asks, obviously concerned, (in a Peridot kinda way).

I tilt my head away from her, staring out into the sunset. "I'm Fine."

"Lapis.."

"Jasper was...she was my first and only time i've ever fused with anyone.. and it was... It was horrifying!!" I clench my fingers around the fabric of my dress.
"She hurt me in so many ways and I just had to take it! I had to protect him...them."

"Lapis I-"

"You what?! You're sorry?! You Understand?!?...nobody understands...fusion is...special to everyone else." I stand up, shaking from my outburst.
"I think i'm gonna try and sleep for once.."

My blankets are dusty from the lack of use they've been getting but I shake them off and crawl under. I just want the pain to go away..

*NEXT DAY*
*Peridot's POV*

Ugh. Why can't she just let me talk to her! I just want to help...
Wait. STEVEN'S GOOD AT BEING EMOTIONAL!

I run to the beach house panting by the time I hit the sand. Come to think of it the barn does have a warp pad. *facepalm*
Oh well.

"STEVEN!" I yell, running in the door.
Everyone just stares at me like im some kind of lunatic.

Clods.

"Uhm..a word?"

We walk outside, Steven visually concerned with my.. eratic.. behavior.

"Listen. Lapis is really upset about what happened with Jasper and I need to make her feel better. Because...uh.."

Im actually not sure why I care so much but I really dislike seeing her this upset.

"Because it's getting annoying and it has to stop."

Steven pauses for a moment looking at me. I swear his eyes got stary.

"YOU CARE ABOUT HERRR" he exclaims, grin spreading across his stupid face.

"W-what, no you clod! I just can't take her being all depressing anymore. I need to do something" I reply annoyed.

"Mhm. Mhm. WHAT ABOUT A WATER SLIDE!"

"No. Water didnt go over that well last time."

"Okayyyy. Oh i know! A picnic!"

"She doesn't eat. Besides, I dont see how food would help her get over being Malachite."

"I GOT IT! YOU CAN FUSE WITH HER!"

My face suddenly felt much warmer than before. The thought of being fused with Lapis is... no. Fusion is... well, Garent does seem happy about it.

Steven cuts off my train of thought.

"When Connie and I fused Garent told us that we needed to make it a good experience. Maybe Lapis just needs a new, better way to look at fusion!"

"I-uh...this could work." I choke out hesitantly.

"WOOHOO GIANT WOMAN!!"
